Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

177. Eating Disorders and The Brain: What Happens In Our Heads? A Chat w/ Neuroscientist Jules
Q: Is full recovery possible, or will the brain always carry a risk of relapse?
The brain can rewire and identity work is crucial; however, old trails can re-emerge under stress, so ongoing vigilance and maintenance are needed, though many people can live in a recovered state.
177. Eating Disorders and The Brain: What Happens In Our Heads? A Chat w/ Neuroscientist Jules
Q: Can we avoid developing these problems, or catch it early?
Not 100% avoidable due to complex environments, but awareness, cognitive flexibility, emotional regulation, and self-awareness can help people recognize when they're crossing lines and seek help early.
177. Eating Disorders and The Brain: What Happens In Our Heads? A Chat w/ Neuroscientist Jules
Q: What happens in the brain when we first develop these eating disorders?
Eating disorders function like addiction, hijacking reward pathways and triggering stress circuits; the brain releases dopamine, endorphins, and epinephrine during disordered behaviors, reinforcing the cycle.
176. Recovering Her Period, Losing Her Son Joshy, Healing After Trauma, Leaning on Jesus and Trying For Her Rainbow Baby: Elizabeth’s Story
Q: What sustained you emotionally through the hardest times after Joshy's loss?
A combination of faith, prayer, scriptures, and the belief that Joshy's life has meaning beyond the physical world sustained me and gave me purpose in continuing the journey toward healing and hope for a rainbow baby.
176. Recovering Her Period, Losing Her Son Joshy, Healing After Trauma, Leaning on Jesus and Trying For Her Rainbow Baby: Elizabeth’s Story
Q: How did public sharing of your story affect your healing and support network?
Public sharing brought an incredibly supportive community, connected me with other loss moms, and provided comfort and practical guidance, turning personal grief into a broader source of strength for others.
