  • Really Inspirational

I have recently started my journey to heal my relationship with food, and I couldn’t recommend a better place to start. It is really helpful to hear advice from someone who is a licensed professional, not just another influencer on the internet. As I continue my journey, I am going to absorb as much of your knowledge and advice that I can. Thank you for all you do!

  • Thank you!

Thank you so much for creating this content and sharing your heart and passion! I’ve been on a diet or a “healthy eating plan” my whole life. I honestly didn’t realize how disordered my eating patterns were or that there was a different way to look at eating. I’ve done some work to heal my relationship with food, and I still have a long way to go. Keeping your podcast at the top of my playlist is a must!

Thank you so much! You also have such a kind, genuine and grace-filled voice! I love listeni... more

  • Fantastic and healthy information

I’ve been recently following the podcast and the Instagram and Facebook. I’m 59 and dealt with lifelong food messaging and dieting and extremism. I am beyond amazed by how wonderful the information is here. I’m learning so much and I’m leaning into the healthy perspectives and healthy balance of proteins etc and it is so important right now for there to be a voice for this because of all of the fad and dysfunction around eating for women.

I just listened to the episode on parts and IFS around F... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

260. Tigress Osborn on the Jillian Michaels Jubilee Debate and Fat Activism
Q: What does fat liberation hope to achieve beyond individual health outcomes?
Fat liberation aims for civil rights and equal opportunities—housing, employment, education—and reducing health disparities caused by stigma and discrimination, while still promoting health within the limits of each person's body.
260. Tigress Osborn on the Jillian Michaels Jubilee Debate and Fat Activism
Q: What would you tell pre-debate Tigress about the experience now?
I would encourage preparedness for media dynamics, acknowledge the adrenaline and editing risks, and suggest bringing practical supports like a mobility device, while staying focused on the movement's long-term goals and the impact on audiences who may not be familiar with NAFA.
260. Tigress Osborn on the Jillian Michaels Jubilee Debate and Fat Activism
Q: When Jubilee reached out to you to debate Jillian Michaels, was it an automatic yes or were there hesitations?
There were hesitations about how media representation would reflect on the fat-activist movement, the composition of the panel, and whether participating would help or harm the cause; ultimately the decision was a calculated risk to bring attention to NAFA and fat rights.
255. Neurodivergence, Food Struggles, and Finding What Actually Works for You with Abbey Roberts
Q: Abbey, is it true that you once brought a Tupperware of unseasoned ground beef with sugar-free ketchup into a restaurant, and then got kicked out?
Yes, it happened in college as a reflection of a rigid diet mindset; it's used here to illustrate how diet culture can shape extreme, rules-based eating and the humor in recognizing it once you have more context about neurodivergence.
252. Protein Goals, Hunger Cues, & The Honeymoon Phase (Q&A)
Q: How do I deal with emotions and doubts in the honeymoon phase after stopping restrictions?
Acknowledge that these feelings are normal, give yourself grace, and use Mary's approach of allowing foods you once restricted while observing body signals. Seek professional support if the process feels chaotic or overwhelming.
