Used to enjoy the podcast but has become more pandering and kinda slimy. Listened to High Impact Protein Sources episode. Mel acted like she had no idea what protein was. Doctor Shaw introduced a “great protein source” (Pure Genius protein shot) and Mel said “full disclosure, I’m a cofounder and you’re on the scientific advisory board”. Then they listed non high protein foods like avocados, red wine and champagne. 😐
Let Mel speak about justice and still take money from Starbucks, a highly unjust corporation. Let Mel be a hypocrite. Let Mel be a co-founder of a protein company without having any background in nutrition & health science or physiology, and without having a single Registered Dietitian on the team.
Let Mel bring on problematic celeb doctors like Dr. Gabrielle Lyon… who has contributed to flipping the food pyramid on its head (the pyramid that hasn’t been used since 2011) and completely ERASING... more
It felt like a magical moment listening to your exchange with Ocean Vuong. What a beautiful human being. I could’ve listened to him for hours. I also took a lot from your interview with Dr. Shah and the Eating Protocol. Thank you for offering such relevant and inspiring content. Love from Canada ! 🇨🇦
In the last episodes it is just a coincidence that the solution to every problem is more protein, and guess what, she just has the solution for that. Moreover, the guest are starting to come more and more from the pseudo-science field with dubious claims that have never been peer reviewed. And somehow every episode is presented by her as the best episode ever, best conversation ever, beat life changing information, share now! Some episodes are very good, but I want to leave this review as a feed... more
