  • Quantity over quality

Far too many pointless ‘conversations’ as they go for quantity over quality. Used to be really good and I listened daily but in the last year or so it’s the same old style of people and pretty much all American.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

World Collapse Expert (Ian Bremmer): The Real Crisis Is What Comes After Trump
Q: What does Bremmer say about the potential endgame for the Iran Strait crisis?
He envisions multiple scenarios, most likely a de-escalation path with extended ceasefires and negotiations that could ultimately yield some concession on nuclear enrichment in exchange for secure transit through the Strait, though a harsher military option remains possible if leverage shifts or domestic pressures change.
World Collapse Expert (Ian Bremmer): The Real Crisis Is What Comes After Trump
Q: How does Bremmer explain Trump's strategy in Venezuela and Iran in this period?
He outlines three reasons: opportunities to expand influence (Venezuela), previous patterns with Iran including proxy and direct actions, and the risk of loyalty and internal advisement becoming a constraining factor that could push decisions toward riskier moves.
World Collapse Expert (Ian Bremmer): The Real Crisis Is What Comes After Trump
Q: What are the most important subjects of the top 10 risks that Bremmer sees right now?
The United States as the biggest driver of geopolitical risk, how China responds, and the implications of AI and critical minerals for global security and economic power.
The Iran War Expert: The Most Dangerous Stage Begins Now
Q: Who are you, and who are you to speak on this subject matter?
I am a professor at the University of Chicago with decades of experience modeling air campaigns and studying the interaction of military action and politics; my work examines why bombing campaigns alone rarely achieve strategic objectives.
Stanford Neuroscientist: Can’t Remember Your Dreams? Your Brain May Be Warning You!
Q: Is there a risk AI could diminish our capacity to learn deeply if overused?
Yes, there is a trade-off; reliance on AI should be balanced by deliberate practice and tackling hard problems without outsourcing all cognitive effort.
