  • Review of Mo episode

Something really interesting, even in regards to what Mo was saying. Maybe I’m just personally offended as an electrician, at the fact he said blue-collar jobs sit at the bottom. There are plenty of very highly intelligent people who choose to become electricians and plumbers. Not because we are dumb, it’s because it’s what we love. Who do you think builds the water pipelines, the high voltage cables, the substations, the solar and wind farms, all the things needed to run AI data centres, all th... more

  • Disappointed by the “Emergency Debate” episode

Loved most episodes of the show until you brought in an extremist like Cenk Uygur. His bashing of Israel was uncalled for, was based on lies, and lacked factual evidence and as a moderator, I expected better from you, Stephen. He is a hard line antisemite and you should have done better than that. At a minimum, you should have had his counterpart on a show who could have debunked all his claims.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pulitzer Prize Historian: You Won't Notice Until It's Too Late!
Q: How do technology and social media influence democratic participation?
Tech platforms shape information access and public discourse; their business models reward engagement, which can amplify polarization and misinformation unless regulated by laws that reflect electoral integrity and protect democratic processes.
Pulitzer Prize Historian: You Won't Notice Until It's Too Late!
Q: Why might the US decline in democracy be dangerous for global stability?
Because the US has been a pillar of the liberal world order; its decline could embolden autocratic powers, disrupt global alliances like NATO, and force other countries to hedge or abandon long-standing partnerships, altering the balance of power.
Pulitzer Prize Historian: You Won't Notice Until It's Too Late!
Q: What is the five-part framework for the tactics autocrats use to dismantle democracy?
The five tactics are corruption, civil service manipulation, information control, media coercion, and coercive power (including security and police). Each serves to undermine independent institutions and tilt the system toward autocratic rule.
Sex Scientist: Phone Addiction Is Killing Your Sex Life More Than Porn!
Q: Is it possible to consume too much porn and does it affect intimacy?
The guest explains that porn itself isn't inherently harmful in moderation, but problems arise when it becomes compulsive or guilt-inducing. If porn use replaces real-life intimacy, reduces arousal with a partner, or creates performance pressure, it can negatively impact sexual function. The recommendation is to monitor feelings, diversify arousal sources, and discuss boundaries with a partner while seeking balance rather than blanket abstinence.
World Collapse Expert (Ian Bremmer): The Real Crisis Is What Comes After Trump
Q: What does Bremmer say about the potential endgame for the Iran Strait crisis?
He envisions multiple scenarios, most likely a de-escalation path with extended ceasefires and negotiations that could ultimately yield some concession on nuclear enrichment in exchange for secure transit through the Strait, though a harsher military option remains possible if leverage shifts or domestic pressures change.
