  • Interview dr. Seager

I love your show please interview dr seager from morovsco cold plunge. I’ve been trying for years to get my wife to try ice baths with little success. She hates being cold but if you talk about the benefits of this great tool she will listen. She loves your podcast and we both have learned so much. Thank you for the knowledge.

  • Protocols Protocols Protocols

I love learning about and improving my health and fitness, but Huberman is merely another example of a neurotic bloke obsessed with optimising every minute component of his existence. I’d recommend a different protocol - simply go outside and spend time with your loved ones, rather than wasting your precious time on three hour episodes from this unfulfilled grifter.

Today, I learned what aliquot is within the context of an improbable situation. So random. I love it.

  • Painfully Dull (a Lot of the Time)

There are a few crumbs of good information here and there, but not enough to justify creating a 2 - 3 hour program. Huberman tends to go on and on with his own personal anecdotes, which offer very little. The whole thing is very conversational, with very little useful information. This program, if it focused on the helpful and actionable points, would only be about 30 - 45 minutes. As it is right now, it is way too long.

  • Absolute gold!

The depth and nuance over varied topics are par none. Andrew brings out the best in people, ensures topics stay on track and also take interesting digressions when needed. It’s a wealth of content that needs to recognised more.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Essentials: The Science of Learning & Speaking Languages | Dr. Eddie Chang
Q: Could you distinguish for us speech versus language in terms of brain control, and how do they relate to each other?
Speech is the production and acoustic realization of sounds, driven by motor control of the vocal tract, while language encompasses the meaning, structure, and interpretation of those sounds—semantics, pragmatics, and syntax—so the brain separates production from comprehension, with distinct but interconnected neural networks.
Male Roles, Obligations and Options for Building a Fulfilling Life | Scott Galloway
Q: What is the value of mentorship and real-world success signals for young men today?
Mentorship provides practical guidance and social proof; real-world achievements (work, family, health) act as tangible signals of capability and belonging, helping young men navigate uncertainty.
Male Roles, Obligations and Options for Building a Fulfilling Life | Scott Galloway
Q: How should young men approach dating and building confidence in a world with aggressive online culture?
Start with small, respectful approaches, expect rejection as normal, and build a routine around fitness, work, and group service; use mentors and real-world practice to gain confidence over time.
Essentials: The Neuroscience of Speech, Language & Music | Dr. Erich Jarvis
Q: What are the similarities and differences between brain regions controlling spoken language and gestural or body movement in humans and other species?
Speech production and gestural pathways share overarching circuitry with language areas, but due to evolutionary differences, humans and some birds show specialized connections that support learned vocalizations; coordination between motor and auditory feedback is key for understanding and producing language and gesture.
How to Better Regulate Your Emotions | Dr. Marc Brackett
Q: Why is labeling emotions with precision important in how we regulate them?
Precise labeling helps select appropriate strategies and improves communication, reducing misinterpretations and guiding actions in social contexts.
