Have been a long time listener but the recent office hours episodes sounds like an AI Mark Hyman. Always valued the health views but this is disappointing
I’ve been following Dr. Hyman for years and he’s the reason I got into the holistic field myself. But…this podcast has become more commercial than informational. So much that there’s not much that he hasn’t already shared before. It’s primarily about pitching Function Health (which I love) and all of his affiliate links/associations. Really to the point where I only listen to an episode once a month or every other month and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. Kind of disappointed to be hone... more
SSRIs do work
Thank you Dr Hyman for the insights on what may be happening in the body related to migraine. I have suffered with migraines since my early 20’s, I am 41 and currently have a neurologist manage my headaches through many injections. However NOTHING touches my exercise induced migraines and they are the worst. Emergency room level pain. Help with any ideas, I can’t afford a functional medicine dr currently but need help shedding some light on this. Any new research? pain headaches
While I greatly value the medical and lifestyle information shared on the podcast, I find it disappointing when the conversation turns toward political commentary or religious interpretation. In the recent episode, Dr. Sharon Malone’s comments about the Bible felt unnecessary and out of place in a discussion I came to for health and science-based content.
I say this as someone with friends and family across a wide range of political and religious perspectives. I appreciate thoughtful discussion... more

The show consistently explores health, longevity, nutrition, and preventive medicine through a functional-medicine lens. Episodes frequently feature researchers, physicians, and practitioners who connect gut health, inflammation, metabolic health, sleep, stress, and aging to practical protocols, personal anecdotes, and actionable steps. A distinctive angle is tying dietary patterns, environmental exposures, and lab data to long-term wellbeing, often incorporating sponsor-supported programs and clinical workflows. The format tends to be conversational and accessible, aiming to translate complex science into takeaways listeners can apply to improve energy, mood, and disease risk. A notable strength is its breadth—covering topics from endometr... more
