  • Sales or science?

I was intrigued by an episode that was supposed to tell you if there was science behind supplements. I am really tired of the next amazing formula being part of multilevel marketing. Soon, after I started listening, the show went to a commercial, selling the very thing mentioned in the podcast. No thanks. I don’t need another podcast that sells product and uses a show as an infomercial.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

BONUS: “The 11% Absorption Trap!” — Stop Wasting Money On Ineffective Magnesium Formulations with Wade Lightheart
Q: One form will fix everything.
No single form will fix everything; magnesium needs to be considered in the context of overall diet, gut health, and environmental factors to be effective.
BONUS: “The 11% Absorption Trap!” — Stop Wasting Money On Ineffective Magnesium Formulations with Wade Lightheart
Q: Biggest myth about magnesium.
The belief that one form of magnesium fixes everything is a myth; instead, a balanced approach using multiple forms and addressing lifestyle factors is needed for comprehensive support.
BONUS: “The 11% Absorption Trap!” — Stop Wasting Money On Ineffective Magnesium Formulations with Wade Lightheart
Q: Most overlooked cause of poor sleep.
Eating before bed is a major disruptor to sleep; creating a habit of finishing eating several hours before bedtime supports parasympathetic dominance and better sleep quality.
BONUS: “The 11% Absorption Trap!” — Stop Wasting Money On Ineffective Magnesium Formulations with Wade Lightheart
Q: One habit that dramatically improves digestion.
Enzymes are the best everyday backbone for aiding digestion, especially when meals are protein-heavy or complex; using a comprehensive enzyme formula helps break down proteins, fats, and carbohydrates more efficiently and supports mineral absorption.
BONUS: "The Sympathetic Spiral of Doom!” – The Fastest Way To Reset Your Nervous System & End Burnout with Dr. Scott Sherr | Menopause, Perimenopause & Mental Health
Q: Why is mitochondrial support prioritized before trying to calm the nervous system directly?
Because without energy production and detoxification, attempts to downregulate the nervous system can feel unreal or even worsen symptoms. A small amount of mitochondrial support, like methylene blue, helps restore the energy capacity needed to meaningfully reduce sympathetic drive.
