I work in science research and the hosts provide an egocentric USA based view on preliminary research to largely assert that lack of USA led evidence discredits preliminary evidence or studies in other countries. That’s just plain unscientific. The way science works is people disagree all over and you keep running studies until there is a consensus. It doesn’t mean small studies are wrong. This podcast is excellent at taking very detailed research and making it enjoyable to listen to. Anyone who wishes to peak behind the curtain around public health policy in a way that is fun and understandable should give this a listen!
I love any show that unpacks popular misconceptions and misunderstandings, and this show manages to do that with some of the most important, sometimes sensitive health topics currently in the culture in a way that is not only thoroughly informed but really funny and engaging.
