  • AWESOME Podcast, Inspiring & More 🏆🏆

Austin does a powerful job with his podcast whether he’s interviewing other coaches, or forcing you to think outside the box! I’ve been in this profession for over 20 years, so it’s refreshing and inspiring to listen to Austin, but this is also a very powerful podcast for the younger Coaches out there to get you to think differently with regards to training and business!!

  • Such a great job!

Austin has a very fine and professional podcast. I don’t want to play favorites because I was guest or anything, but having done interview situations before, he asked questions that allowed me to really reflect and answer honestly. I really appreciated that. Highly recommended! 💪🏾

  • Is this Greg guy losing weight?

This Greg guy seems like a very disciplined guy. From what he’s saying on the podcast you can hear the sound waves bouncing off his clothes that are probably too big for him. I bet this guy is SWIMMING in his clothes. Maybe some of the listeners can help him out. Love the show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Aaron DuVall: Informing Coaches What They Are Doing Not What To Do
Q: What has been the biggest challenge in transitioning to a multi-hat leadership role?
Balancing administrative duties with hands-on coaching, while maintaining a culture of continuous learning and ensuring that staff growth translates into better performance for athletes.
The Enhanced Games and The Science Behind It w/ Dr. Nick Goode
Q: What differences did you observe between enhanced and non-enhanced athletes in training and recovery?
Enhanced athletes could handle higher training volumes due to improved recovery capacity, but the benefit depended on individualized programming and careful monitoring to avoid overuse injuries.
The Enhanced Games and The Science Behind It w/ Dr. Nick Goode
Q: How did you select athletes for the Enhanced Games trials?
Athletes with proven high-level performance were considered, but inclusion required medical clearance, absence of high-risk conditions, and robust data showing they could safely participate in a monitored protocol.
The Enhanced Games and The Science Behind It w/ Dr. Nick Goode
Q: How did you balance safety with the drive for higher performance in these athletes?
We approached it like a clinical trial with ethics review, continuous medical monitoring, and frequent biomarker assessments to ensure safety while evaluating performance gains, always prioritizing health alongside performance.
Providing over Proving w/ Ashley Kowalewski
Q: How do you approach conditioning for volleyball players to balance practice quality with conditioning workload?
I prioritize building a strong aerobic base and submaximal jumping volume early, then stagger higher effort work and practice timing to keep players fresh for skill work. Load management, timing of sessions, and recognizing the differences between on-court stress and lab-style conditioning help ensure they can practice technically at high levels without being cooked.
