  • Great content

You have great content. Please let your guess talk. It is very obvious you have great knowledge about lifting, fitness and nutrition. When you invite guest on the show we want to hear the guest. If you want to do a podcast by yourself and talk about different subjects I would absolutely listen to that. Please let your guest talk.

  • Longtime Listener

I love the podcast and am long-time listener. I hate being critical, but the host needs to talk less and listen more. Oftentimes, guests speak less than 30% of the time.

  • The John show.

I’m not sure why John bothers having people on as guests, he is knowledgeable that’s for sure but I have never heard a presenter that cuts off their guest and inserts their own point of view as much as John does. It takes a few podcasts to notice but listen to a few and all the opinions start to be recycled making it repetitive listening.

  • Had a great conversation about doping in sports.

I was lucky enough to be a guest on Power Athlete Radio to discuss my latest book, In Defense of Doping. I found Mr. Welbourn to be knowledgeable, engaging, and fair in his approach. This was not a rubber stamp of my philosophy. Nor was it an adversarial debate. We had a fair-minded, conversation about several topics related to the nature of doping in sport. I’ve listened to several other episodes in preparation for my visit. In each I found John to be friendly and knowledgeable while keep... more

Ep 855: Madeleine Conti on Real Kettlebell Strength
Q: What is the first advice you give to someone who is overwhelmed starting out with kettlebell training?
Focus on consistency and enjoyment: find a modality you like, aim for a short daily routine (e.g., 20 minutes), and build a habit before chasing perfect technique or the heaviest weight.
Ep 855: Madeleine Conti on Real Kettlebell Strength
Q: What was the polarizing moment to push you down this road into kettlebell training?
The guest recalls discovering kettlebells during a trip to Austin, meeting coaches from Onnit and the durability/animal flow world, and realizing how flexible and collaborative movement could be.
