  • Fentanyl is not “so good.”

Referring to Fentanyl as “so good” is not a deterrent. It would be better to refer to it as “so dangerously addictive.”

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 1,280B - Surgeon Explains Breast Implant Illness: What Women Need to Know!
Q: Is there a formal diagnosis for breast implant illness?

EP 1,281B - ADDICTED TO ANXIETY: How To Break the Habit
Q: What is the first step someone should take when starting to work with their anxiety?
Begin by examining the relationship you have with anxiety and build a calming, compassionate connection with the anxious part of yourself, then learn to observe the sensations without letting them drive your behavior.
EP 1,281B - ADDICTED TO ANXIETY: How To Break the Habit
Q: Can GLP-1 medications stop anxiety or reduce its grip on people?
O'Kane notes that early research is exploring potential mental health benefits of GLP-1 drugs, but stresses that anxiety is multifaceted and not purely a medical problem; medications may help some symptoms but should not replace working with anxiety itself.
EP 1,284B - PROVING A MIRACLE: Unlocking the Power of Prayer to Heal
Q: Josh, let me go and ask you, what do we know about the mechanism of prayer?
I discuss brain mechanisms by which spiritual practices and beliefs affect health, including how beliefs influence cortisol and other stress systems, which in turn can modulate immune function and health.
EP 1,277B - THE ELUSIVE BODY: Patients, Doctors and the Diagnosis Crisis
Q: How easy are second opinions to obtain, and do they help with diagnostic accuracy?
The guest emphasizes the value of multiple perspectives and patients obtaining second opinions from different clinicians, while noting that accessing such opinions can be structurally challenging within the current health system.
