  • Love this podcast. It's based in science, it covers a very wide range of topics. It is a bit pushy on their Daily 30 product but that's ok. It's advice has changed my life.

  • Used to be good

This podcast started off being informative. Now it’s just one big advert for daily 30. The latest podcast for 5 nutrition changes regarding subjects who followed the Zoe way for 6 weeks was a complete waste of listening time, and again just an advert for their own product.

  • Extremely harmful content.

Absolutely awful. Fasting to such extremes? No, explicitly describing an eating disorder. Unbelievably toxic and harmful. People end up in hospital by fasting in this way over time. I worry for the impressionable people listening to this, who are predisposed to eating disorders such an Anorexia, or have a history of the illness. If anyone is listening to this, particularly with a history of an eating disorder please know that eating breakfast, alongside your 3 meals a day and snacks is essential... more

  • Not realistic

I’ve listened to most of the Zoe podcast, I’ve taken lots of advice about gut health and good nutrition so it’s not been a waste. However, no one, unless you’re obsessed, have all the time and money in the world can live a life as clean as Zoe. Your app and products are not for normal working class people as they are way too expensive and yet it’s those very people who need your help the most. Listening to your podcast can give me anxiety because I think my body must be so damaged with the foods... more

5 simple nutrition changes to boost energy, lift your mood and beat fatigue (in just 72 hours!) | Prof Tim Spector & Dr Federica Amati
Q: Starting with Tim, can you transform your health in six weeks just by changing what you eat?
Yes, and the evidence from their trials suggests that a plant-forward, fiber-rich diet can lead to meaningful improvements in energy, mood, and health markers within six weeks, especially when the changes are practical and sustainable.
How to feed the 50 gut bacteria that shrink body fat, calm inflammation and cut cholesterol | Prof Nicola Segata & Prof Sarah Berry
Q: What makes this research so groundbreaking from your perspective?
Two aspects: first, establishing a health-associated microbiome signature that can be measured; second, demonstrating through longitudinal data and randomized trials that diet can causally alter the microbiome and thus health outcomes.
How to feed the 50 gut bacteria that shrink body fat, calm inflammation and cut cholesterol | Prof Nicola Segata & Prof Sarah Berry
Q: Nicola, is there really a link between the species of bacteria in our guts and our long-term health?
Yes, there are clear associations between certain gut bacteria and health outcomes, and through large-scale data and longitudinal trials we are moving toward causal links by showing how diet drives specific microbiome changes that relate to health.
Most replayed moment: Reduce anxiety by improving your gut health | Uma Naidoo
Q: What practical dietary steps can someone take to reduce anxiety related to diet?
Start with the SAW framework—swap one unhealthy food for a healthier option, add more vegetables and calming nutrients, and walk or move daily to support mental health.
Most replayed moment: Reduce anxiety by improving your gut health | Uma Naidoo
Q: What is a serotonin receptor and how is it linked to the gut and brain?
Serotonin receptors are widespread, and most serotonin activity occurs in the gut; the gut's microbiome and its neurotransmitters influence mood by interacting with these receptors via the gut-brain axis.
