Liz is doing incredible work for women in midlife by sharing her passion for pro-ageing. Her approach is grounded in science, and I really appreciate that she isn’t afraid to express her own feelings and strong opinions—even on topics others may find uncomfortable.

You don’t have to agree with everything she says, but there’s something to be said for someone who speaks honestly from their own experience. It’s refreshing, authentic, and genuinely inspiring—more voices like this, please!

I love nearly all your episodes Liz and you’ve helped me a huge amount as a woman in her 60s. Was not so much impressed by this episode however. The dr did not mention the evidence out there for gut microbiome impact on brain health. Would imagine that a pure carnivore diet would have an interesting effect on that ……….

Why do I never feel ‘good enough’?
Q: What are the key postpartum supplements and lifestyle foundations for recovery after pregnancy?
Prioritize protein and morning daylight, add gentle strength training, optimize sleep quality, and use targeted supplements such as iron, iodine, omega-3s, B vitamins, magnesium, calcium, DHA, and vitamin D, with a well-formulated postnatal multivitamin.
Why do I never feel ‘good enough’?
Q: Anne-Marie asks if sparkling water at home is as good as bottled sparkling water and if it harms teeth?
Plain sparkling water is largely similar to bottled versions in hydration; the main differences are mineral content and additives in flavored varieties; it is generally safe for teeth when consumed plain and not with added sugars or citric acids.
Why do I never feel ‘good enough’?
Q: Ashley asks how late-night scrolling affects sleep and what practical steps can help?
Even if you fall asleep quickly, the quality and depth of sleep are impacted by blue light and cognitive arousal; mitigate with a blue-filter or glasses, reduce exposure 30–60 minutes before bed, and consider reading a real book to unwind.
Why do I never feel ‘good enough’?
Q: Is it ever too late to start on collagen, especially for someone in their late 60s on blood pressure meds and a statin?
No, the short answer is no; collagen can still be beneficial in the late 60s, providing amino-acid building blocks that support the body's own collagen production, with generally safe use and few interactions with common medications.
Does HRT cause weight gain – or is that a myth?
Q: Is HRT a likely cause of weight gain during perimenopause?
No, the data does not support that HRT causes weight gain; weight changes are more linked to natural ageing, muscle mass loss, metabolism, sleep disruption, and stress.
