  • Too many interruptions

I want to really like this podcast but Davina isn’t a great interviewer. She interrupts too often, talks over the guest when they’re talking and makes it painful to listen at times.

Yikes. A difficult listen. Jason sounded very down & both he & Davina talked over each other constantly.

  • So fake

Dear Lord, I really wanted to hear Dearbhla but constant interruptions and constant over positive affirming by Davina - Irish people don’t like being fawned over. Uncomfortable

Beverley Knight: Losing My Best Friend At The Worst Moment Of My Career & How I Found New Purpose!
Q: What was it like pivoting into musical theatre and confronting backlash from the industry?
The pivot was challenging but necessary; with hard work, the audience and producers recognized my dedication and capability, especially in the Bodyguard, which relaunched my stage career.
Begin Again Moments: The Reality of Homelessness
Q: What prompted you to invite Ronnie into your home that Christmas?
It started with a sense of responsibility and a belief that hospitality could change the trajectory of someone's life; the decision grew from a moment of curiosity about the person at the door and a desire to help in a practical way.
Begin Again Moments: Heal Your Inner Child
Q: But how old were you when you were organizing that?
She describes taking on responsibility at a very young age, organizing meals and caring for her sister, which underscores themes of resilience and the development of independence.
Begin Again Moments: Heal Your Inner Child
Q: Sorry, I just want to unpick a little bit of that because that is so interesting because in a sense, I can hear the love you had for your dad.
The guest reflects on the paradox of love and hardship in her family life, acknowledging affection for her father while recognizing the instability and its impact on the family, and frames these memories as foundational rather than limiting.
Prue Leith: Leaving Bake Off & Falling In Love At 70
Q: How did you meet?
We met in a friend's house at a dinner party where John was one of the guests.
