  • Half is adverts

V annoying. Fearne should just talk about herself without a guest because she does that already rather than talk to the guests.

  • Too many ads

I do enjoy the conversation but the amount of ads is getting ridiculous. I don't know any other podcast with so many ads. Maybe a bit less greedy?

  • JUST A PODCAST OF ADVERTS!

    ⭐☆☆☆☆

I came to this podcast expecting thoughtful conversations that would genuinely help people improve their wellbeing. Instead, it feels like every episode is interrupted by a relentless stream of advertisements, sponsorships, and product promotions.

The irony is hard to miss. A podcast built around happiness, mindfulness, and mental wellbeing often leaves me feeling like I’m being marketed to rather than supported. Beneath the warm and uplifting messaging, it increasingly feels like a high... more

  • Brilliant, but…

What you do for people on the outside, is incredible. The amount of times I have been in tears it feels like therapy sometimes, but… I do understand you need to make a living and it’s your time and company but do we need 18 minutes of Adverts? 18 minutes!!! That’s more than an hour episode on ITV. It’s crazy. My thump got sore from skipping so much. It’s very hard to do one handed on a dog walk! Please think about it.

Are you ditching your values to fit in? Todd Rose on avoiding peer pressure
Q: Is authenticity always hard, and how can someone start to live more authentically?
Authenticity is not always hard if it becomes a habit; starting with small, manageable acts of honesty and openly discussing beliefs in safe contexts helps reduce fear of rejection and builds genuine belonging rather than superficial fitting in.
Are you ditching your values to fit in? Todd Rose on avoiding peer pressure
Q: What is a Collective Illusion and how does it form?
Todd Rose explains that a Collective Illusion is when people publicly align with a view they privately disagree with because they incorrectly believe everyone else agrees with it; the illusion is reinforced by biases in social learning, loud voices on social media, and misread signals about what the group believes.
Book Club Meets: I wrote a loveable psychopath! Race and female rage, with Imani Thompson
Q: What themes are you exploring beyond the plot, and how did your studies influence Yrsa?
I wanted to look at race and gender politics, gender-based violence, and power structures, and sociology helped me build those elements into the character and story.
Book Club Meets: I wrote a loveable psychopath! Race and female rage, with Imani Thompson
Q: This is your debut book, you're 26?
Actually, I'm 27 now, and it still feels surreal to have a book reach a global audience so quickly.
Book Club Meets: Tradwives and the manosphere, with Caro Claire Burke
Q: Have you got any tips? What would you tell people who are in the position of wanting to write their debut fiction?
You have to keep going, write for a long time, and believe in yourself even when faced with rejection; continue exploring multiple projects, because you never know which one will truly land.
