The conversations are second to none and Paul is an excellent interviewer. However it would be good to have fewer influencers and reality stars and guests with a bit more depth and substance. People who are famous for a skill or life story rather than just being on TV.
Never written a review in my life but had to say how much I love this podcast. I’ve always been a fan of Louis Theroux but found recently he’s started talking over his guests and some of them have been slightly left field. Paul’s interview style is superb, he gives guests the time to consider their response without being worried about the silence. It’s like therapy!! Just came across this pod & in awe of the guests I’ve heard so far … never realised how AMAZING Kerry Katona is!!
Paul is clearly a great listener and masterful at asking the right questions. In the recent episode with the former CIA spy “how to tell when someone’s lying” (or something to that effect).
I so loved the first 27 minutes but was hoping he would have continued with his guest to explore the actual tile of the episode. The remainder of close to 1h30 mins was about his experience at the CIA and while interesting, I think he lost an important moment with listeners.
