  • Bit too giggly

FB group is excellent and really helpful. Guests great if a bit repetitive. Just wish they would lose the giggly schoolgirl ‘ aren’t we mid life crazy’ banter/bloomers. Just fast forward as we are not 15. Maybe take a leaf out of Off Air with Jane & Fi??

Q: Do supplements, vitamins, minerals, and nutrients actually work and are they worth the money?

Andrea McLean on the shame of financial ruin & how she’s getting her life back on track
Q: What final advice would you give listeners facing hopelessness and financial strain?
Keep going with small, manageable steps, accept that you cannot control tomorrow, and focus on practical acts that move you forward (walking, talking to someone, or a tiny daily commitment).
Andrea McLean on the shame of financial ruin & how she’s getting her life back on track
Q: What does the 'star fading' moment teach listeners about midlife career pivots?

Andrea McLean on the shame of financial ruin & how she’s getting her life back on track
Q: How did you physically and mentally recover from such intense health issues while finances were still in jeopardy?
Recovery involved persistent, small steps, focusing on writing, and choosing to address finances directly—calling creditors, adjusting spending, and leaning on supportive partners and friends.
Andrea McLean on the shame of financial ruin & how she’s getting her life back on track
Q: Why did you choose shame as the central theme of your book?
She explains that stigma and public perception amplified the pain, but reframing shame as something solvable and not tied to personal worth allowed her to take back control and help others.
