  • Podcast titles are not reflective of the show

Hopefully constructive feedback for you but I’ve listened to around 5 of

your podcasts and end each very frustrated as the titles do not reflect what you actually talk about and I feel like I’ve either learnt nothing or not learned what I was after

  • 🙏🏻Menopause Goddess🙏🏻

Thank you so much for all your wisdom, energy and perseverance. Between you and my amazing doctor (Shout out to the gorgeous Dr Greenman in Perth, WA who put me on to your podcast!) I feel like a new woman. I feel sad that my mum and so many of her generation had to suffer. And I feel sad that so many women aren’t listening to the science. (if indeed they get to hear it - and not just about HRT!) I was one of those who had few symptoms and wanted to age ‘naturally.’ Thank goddesses I saw the li... more

  • Brilliant. And….

This is a brilliant podcast for women who can often feel isolated in different stages of their life. However, episode 70 as well intentioned as it is, I can’t help but feel disappointed that the latest episode is fundamentally a man validating the experience of perimenopause. We shouldn’t need this to be the case.

93 – PMDD misdiagnosed for 10 Years: Anna's story
Q: What impact did hormone-focused treatment have on your mental health and daily life?
The introduction of balanced hormone therapy, including progesterone and testosterone implants, led to a significant improvement in mood and functioning, though she notes the importance of consistent absorption and access to suitable products.
93 – PMDD misdiagnosed for 10 Years: Anna's story
Q: How did it feel to finally be diagnosed with PMDD after so many years of disbelief?
Anna felt validated and curious about how different her life might have been if the diagnosis had come earlier, while also recognizing the ongoing uncertainty about the future and the relief that proper treatment could bring.
91 – Demi Brown: Endometriosis, fibroids & hormones
Q: What role do natural hormones play in managing endometriosis compared to synthetic options?
Louise explains that natural hormones can reduce inflammation and modulate pain similarly to what patients experience during pregnancy, whereas synthetic hormones can block the body's own hormones and may worsen inflammation for some individuals; emphasis on individualized trials.
91 – Demi Brown: Endometriosis, fibroids & hormones
Q: Tell me a bit about your story and how endometriosis has affected your life.
Demi describes starting with heavy periods in adolescence, a long journey through misdiagnosis, and eventual recognition of endometriosis after keyhole surgery in 2019, followed by ongoing struggles with pain, energy, and finding effective care.
88 – Endometriosis, surgical menopause and getting the right hormone treatments
Q: Are non-hormonal treatments like gabapentin appropriate for hot flushes in this context?
Not ideal when hormone deficiency is the primary issue; focusing on optimized hormone balance is key before relying on non-hormonal options.
