  • Genuinely Life Changing

So not only has CVT helped me to lose weight and improve my all round health with his Ultra Processed People book, but now the brothers’ podcast has also cured my eczema after the Dry Skin episode. I switched to washing with emollient and it’s gone within a week. This is an eczema flare that’s lasted 6 months and survived escalating steroid treatment.

  • Straight Forward and Sceptical

Apart from just being nice to listen to, and informative, I like the comedically passive digs they give some of the alarmist orange-lensed tap-filtered anti-medicine social influencers. 👍

  • Please do a peeing yourself episode

Amazing podcast!!!: very calming and I learn a lot. But please do an episode on peeing yourself (during trampolining sneezing and sleeping) : why it happens and how we can prevent it.

    Thanks again

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How can you find comfort in the winter months?
Q: Tiffany, can I ask about, you know, even if we go back 150 years, when you're talking about comfort in the Christmas season, it's genuinely cold, food is genuinely hard to come by for lots of people. Does that have a slightly more, more of that Latin idea of kind of strengthening and resilience in the kind of the bleak midwinter?
Yes, looking at how indigenous communities like the Sami people gather and share rituals during winter emphasizes the warmth and community aspect of comfort, contrasting with modern practices of solitude.
Doctors' Notes: Comfort
Q: Can we start by talking about nostalgia?
Nostalgia is a bittersweet feeling providing a sense of connection to the past, while also inducing feelings of regret.
Doctors' Notes: Hearing Loss
Q: Can you explain the experience of someone with an auditory processing disorder?
An individual with auditory processing disorder may find it difficult to follow conversations, especially in noisy environments, leading to mental fatigue.
Doctors' Notes: Hearing Loss
Q: Why should people get a hearing aid and how should they go about it?
Getting a hearing aid is important as it helps alleviate communication fatigue and engage better in conversations.
Can you be ‘addicted to dopamine’?
Q: How does your research affect your daily life?
I prefer to gain rewards from accomplishing many small tasks rather than focusing on just one thing in a day.
