  • Well done

Loss of love is indeed painful and definitely takes time and patience for each person And for some a year or even more

What is important is allowing the feelings to expressed

Sometimes the wounds will heal and then open again

But to hold on to the memories of what you have left and what you are walking towards

It is universal experience and yet it is unique to the person who is enduring it

I am enjoying this new podcast. It’s well presented and deals with one issue at a time so that the subject is authoritatively covered and contributors are able to speak clearly and have enough time to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How to set boundaries
Q: Fatoumata, where do we begin?
Start with recognizing that you are allowed to say yes and no, and that saying no does not mean you've done something wrong; communicate your boundary with self-respect and with consideration for the other person's perspective.
You are good enough!
Q: What factors can chip away at self-worth as we get older?
Life transitions, changing friendship groups, romantic relationship experiences, and evolving personal values that challenge prior definitions of achievement.
You are good enough!
Q: Anton, how would you define the concept of good enough?
A sense of being worthy and capable in daily functioning, with value extending to relationships and how you relate to others.
What is ‘gaslighting’?
Q: Jennifer, what would you tell a listener who might be experiencing this?
Find a friend to talk to, avoid confronting the gaslighter alone, practice trusting your own feelings, and build a support network that can validate your experiences as you consider seeking professional help.
What is ‘gaslighting’?
Q: So how would you answer that, Jennifer?
Gaslighting, at its core, is a coercive mechanism that forces someone to disbelieve their own reality and truth, and it can appear subtly in daily interactions as a pattern that undermines confidence and autonomy.
