  • Well done

Loss of love is indeed painful and definitely takes time and patience for each person And for some a year or even more

What is important is allowing the feelings to expressed

Sometimes the wounds will heal and then open again

But to hold on to the memories of what you have left and what you are walking towards

It is universal experience and yet it is unique to the person who is enduring it

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How to stop masking
Q: Why might masking start so early in life and be hard to unlearn?
Masking starts early due to socialization and conditioning; parental anxiety and the need to keep children safe can teach them to suppress differences, and over time this becomes a default way of navigating the world, making unmasking challenging but possible with supportive environments.
How to stop masking
Q: Explain what masking is in simple terms.
Masking is a form of acting or pretending where a person hides or suppresses parts of their authentic self—opinions, feelings, or identity—so they can be accepted or feel safe in a given situation. It's more than just trying to fit in; it's a pervasive, sometimes unconscious, strategy that can be exhausting to maintain.
How to spot a 'red flag'
Q: Why do people chase intense chemistry early on, and why is that risky?
Intense chemistry can signal love bombing, where rapid escalation aims to override critical thinking and attachment needs, increasing the risk of dependency and later harm.
How to spot a 'red flag'
Q: What do we mean by red flags in relationships?
Red flags are patterns of behavior that indicate potential harm or coercive dynamics in a relationship, which may predict negative outcomes if not addressed.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Q: What practical steps can listeners take to manage anxiety related to social expectations?
Focus on identifying times when behavior is a response to stress rather than a core trait, plan calm conversations in advance, and use self-compassion to accept needs while negotiating adjustments with others in a supportive manner.
