  • White privilege

Please, no more posh white guests! This does nothing to dispel the myth that psychotherapy is only accessible to wealthy middle class white people!

  • Excessive ads and amateur approach

The amount of ads is unbelievably excessive and interrupting. Makes me think of ‘by all cost financial’ motivation behind podcasts as such. The content itself appears to be quite shallow, especially compounded by deflated host’s personality who is seemingly disengaged from their audience.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Agony Aunties: How to Help Your Teen With Exam Stress and Anxiety
Q: What can a parent do to help a teen through exam stress without adding pressure?
Focus on connection and collaborative planning rather than control. Open a conversation with the teen about what would be helpful, avoid dictating behaviors, and model calm, present-focused habits like breathing and routine. Offer practical support such as co-creating a revision timetable and validating their feelings, while keeping the goal of wellbeing intact rather than purely academic performance.
EXPERT EPISODE: Returning to Work After Motherhood with Dolly Jones
Q: What inspired you to write a book about women returning to work after motherhood?
Dolly explains she wrote it to document diverse experiences, celebrate resilience, and provide a practical resource for women navigating the transition, with a focus on empathy and systemic change in the workplace.
How Families Are Made in More Ways Than One with Rebecca Coxon
Q: What is the most important thing you learned from your experiences with secrecy and family identity?
Secrets isolate families and erode trust; being open about what happened, in a thoughtful, age-appropriate way, builds understanding and connection, which is essential for healthy relationships and personal growth.
EXPERT EPISODE: Pelvic Floor, Pleasure & Power - The “LibDdo” Conversation with Lucy Kohli
Q: Would you just say a bit about what your relationship with your body led you to LiBDO and what LiBDO is?
Lucy explains that LiBDO is a women-focused exercise system designed to strengthen and mobilize the pelvis, with movements that engage the pelvic floor and include tailbone control, which helped her regain strength after childbirth and foster a more positive, empowered relationship with her body.
Sarah Perry on What Death Can Teach Us About Living
Q: What is a particular challenge you faced that shaped you?
Perry discusses the severe disc injury, chronic pain, and resulting PTSD-like vigilance, and how therapy helped her reframe pain as part of a single, connected system with the body, mind, and emotions.
