  • Life Changing Podcast!

Choose Hard was the first fitness podcast I fell in love with. It’s raw, real, and full of science-based info that actually sticks. I’ve listened to every episode and each one has pushed me to level up in the gym, as a parent, and as a person.

I’ve learned so much, found new people to look up to, and written down so many quotes that hit me right when I needed them. There are so many times I’m struggling and I go listen to an episode and hear exactly what I need to reassess/reflect on my situatio... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#103 - Navigating Peptides, Client Stress, and Industry Predictions [Q&A]
Q: Are scheduled re-feed days and diet breaks still a staple, or should we move toward auto-regulated approaches based on daily stress and hunger?
Diet breaks and refeeds aren't daily requirements; they're used strategically, especially when a client is very lean or needs a mental break. For most people, shorter, non-daily breaks help maintain adherence and prevent bingeing, while still allowing for progress when plans get stressful.
#103 - Navigating Peptides, Client Stress, and Industry Predictions [Q&A]
Q: What is the best way to approach clients who are overwhelmed by stress and it impacts their adherence?
The best approach is to reframe the situation and help clients understand that their perception of stress is the main driver of adherence issues. By teaching them to reframe and build confidence in handling stress, you reduce overwhelm and improve adherence over time.
#103 - Navigating Peptides, Client Stress, and Industry Predictions [Q&A]
Q: First, how to navigate peptides with clients and clarify what peptides are?
Peptides are a category of compounds that are technically drugs in many cases; they aren't steroids and can be delivered in capsules or via injections. They're used for things like injury recovery, gut health, testosterone, and growth hormone modulation. The key is to work with a doctor to source properly, avoid dosing concerns, and be transparent about what they do and don't do.
#77 - The Truth About Body Fat %, Insulin, and Seed Oils
Q: Should weight loss goals be based on total weight or body fat percentage and why?
Weight is a more reliable predictor for tracking progress because it's easier to measure consistently and body fat percentages can vary due to measurement method and individual factors; counting on weight plus progress photos and clothing fit provides a clearer, more actionable picture.
#96 - Q&A: Parenting Standards, Business Burnout, & Aging Like an Athlete
Q: How do you handle a client or yourself who has an all or nothing personality?
Use reflection and disciplined questioning to reshape your thinking and build resilience against setbacks.
