  • Honest, compassionate, and informative

Jordan’s podcast is an absolute breath of fresh air in the fitness and health space. He consistently delivers solid, evidence-based information, but what truly sets him apart is his genuine kindness and radical honesty.

The episodes featuring various cancer experts have been particularly powerful and comforting. Instead of leaning into fearmongering or making listeners feel guilty that they somehow did something wrong, these conversations provided incredible clarity, reassurance, and validation ... more

  • Please get to the subject sooner!

I was so excited to find this podcast, but the first episode I listened to, he took 23 minutes - 23 minutes!!!!! To get to the start of the show. He had almost 30 minutes of banter. Some personality is fine, but listeners shouldn’t have to hunt through half an hour of shooting the breeze to find the actual content. Please tighten the introductions and get to the useful material sooner! I’ll give him another try . . .

Jordan’s podcast is a constant motivation to me and the best educational content in the fitness space. In an incredibly crowded and noisy space, this is the only fitness podcast you need.

Q: What starting weighted vest would be appropriate for a small person with long lifting history?
A starting vest around 10-15 pounds (roughly 10% of bodyweight for many people) is a reasonable range, with adjustments based on comfort and form.
The Best Workout Split, Overcoming Boredom in Training, Wrist Strength, What Age Can Kids Lift Weights, HRV and Recovery, Weighted Vests, and More…
Q: Push-pull-legs vs upper-lower vs full body: what should a three-day-a-week schedule look like?
Push-pull-legs offers higher intensity per session and easier recovery; upper-lower can work well; full body three times a week is possible but needs structure and coaching to manage intensity; a 10-day week can help with recovery while keeping frequency.
The Best Workout Split, Overcoming Boredom in Training, Wrist Strength, What Age Can Kids Lift Weights, HRV and Recovery, Weighted Vests, and More…
Q: HRV and recovery: how to manage fatigue from hypertrophy training as you age.
Reduce intensity from RPE 9-10 toward 7-8, consider a full week of recovery, monitor HRV trends alongside how you feel, and use zone 2/zone 1 cardio to aid recovery.
Building an Insanely Strong Deadlift, Toxic Fitness Culture, Unpopular Muscle Building Facts, and More…
Q: What is the healthiest balance for someone who loves powerlifting but also wants to maintain overall health?
Focus on a holistic approach: keep the training enjoyable and sustainable, prioritize health metrics (blood pressure, cholesterol), include cardio at a level that supports health, and maintain a maintenance or light surplus only if it serves a concrete health or performance goal.

Q: What can individuals do to spot manipulation and protect themselves?
Pause before reacting, ask critical questions about motives, and consider digital fasting to reduce exposure to emotionally charged content.
