  • Episode with Sharon

Wow Jordan! This was another good one! I live in Washington and we are all mail in ballots here along with several other states. I wish we could go to the polls and vote. Our daughter received a ballot in her maiden name for years after she was married. That opened my eyes to the possibility of voter election fraud. She changed her name with the DMV, SS and even registered to vote at her new address in a different county. That’s just our story so it makes me question the integrity of our mail in... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Eating High Calorie Foods WITHOUT Anxiety, EMOM Workouts, 75 Hard, Antonio in The Studio, and More…
Q: How has your relationship with health and fitness changed since partnering with Jordan on the podcast, if at all? What myths did get debunked along the way?
The guest emphasizes that there were not dramatic paradigm shifts, but a lasting change toward prioritizing consistency, flexibility, and sustainable progress over perfection. He notes the value of honest goal setting and recognizing when to adjust plans, rather than pursuing a rigid, all-or-nothing approach.
Why You Keep Failing Your Diet, Inappropriate Comments at the Gym, I Broke My Leg (Now What?) and More...
Q: How can someone maintain progress after a significant injury like a broken leg?
Acknowledge that some strength loss is inevitable, leverage the crossover training to preserve upper body and non-injured leg, keep protein and calories adequate to support recovery, and plan a rapid but safe return-to-training that prioritizes rebuilding strength and mobility quickly.
Why You Keep Failing Your Diet, Inappropriate Comments at the Gym, I Broke My Leg (Now What?) and More...
Q: What should someone do if they feel uncomfortable with a comment at the gym and worry about telling a supervisor?
Communicate openly with your supervisor about the incident, specify what happened, what you found inappropriate, and outline the action you'd like taken, while stressing that the goal is to ensure a safe, respectful environment for everyone.
Women and Strength Training, GLP-1's for Food Noise, Bulking with Body Dysmorphia, Weightlifting Belts, and More...
Q: Is GLP-1 a good idea for someone with a history of disordered eating to reduce food noise?
It can be life-changing for some, but it isn't a universal or sole solution; discuss with a medical provider, consider mental health work, and be aware of potential side effects and non-trivial decisions; the decision should be personal and medically supervised.
Women and Strength Training, GLP-1's for Food Noise, Bulking with Body Dysmorphia, Weightlifting Belts, and More...
Q: What should be done about bulking for someone who's already three months into a bulk but is worried about fat gain and is dealing with body dysmorphia?
Aim for maintenance or a slight surplus rather than aggressive bulking; prioritize protein, training intensity, and gradual weight gain (about 0.5 to 1 pound per month for women, 1-2 pounds for men); focus on strength gains and clothes-fit as measures of progress, and consider pace and psychological health as part of the plan.
