I’ve listened to this show for over a year. Although I know I’m not political aligned with the host, he usually has a nuanced, rationale approached to problems so that political ideology is a nonissue, which is refreshing. Not today. A man with a seemingly perfect wife calls in with one issue: she won’t change her last name 5 years into their marriage. Thank u so much for the May 8 episode, message to the final caller. We have forgotten how to bring our best selves to a situation when others do not. They are who they choose to be, but we can rise above and be who we are. Avoidance only brings cultural norms down. Let’s contribute to setting a higher standard. Cancel culture and “going no contact” are not the long term answer. Thank u John.
