  • Ugh…New format

Not a fan of the new format, just doesn’t hit the same as when taking calls and walking through the problem. Miss Dave’s advice.

  • It was a good run

Bring back the long form. I realize you need to groom some replacements but unfortunately there is no replacement for you.

  • Random noises?

Random noises throughout makes this stressful. Good content. I enjoy the guests and the new host is doing a good job (obviously he will not be as popular as Dave), but I’m not a big fan of the change in format. Been listening for years.

  • Return to prior format

The 2026 format is not why we listen to Entreleadership. While the topics are decent, the real meat was in hearing real problems and hearing someone talk them through the issue and coming to some solution. We could all feel a part of many of the callas because we’ve been there. Hoping it returns to that format soon.

Scaling Our Business Has Turned Into a Nightmare
Q: What would you do to stabilize cash flow while considering concessions and the potential to turn things around?
I'd keep the main location healthy and try to feed the second location from profits where possible, push for rent concessions, get exact numbers on the credit, and only continue funding if there's a logical path to profitability within a reasonable time frame.
Scaling Our Business Has Turned Into a Nightmare
Q: And so I would ask for some rental concessions for one thing. How much debt did you take on to do this?
We cash flowed most of the build, but it ended up costing about 350k instead of the planned 250k, and we had to take on a line of credit to cover the gap, which has put us in a tough spot with payments and potential eviction.
The Biggest Time-Wasting Mistake CEOs Make
Q: What are some ways you could free up more time for business development?
Add business-support roles (two to three people) to run the operations with him, and delegate appointment setting and travel, so he can focus on high-margin, value-added work.
The Biggest Time-Wasting Mistake CEOs Make
Q: What would you say the split on your time is now?
The owner time has been around 15-20% but Randy desires closer to 60-70% owner time to focus on business growth, which would require hiring to take over billable workload.
How to Generate Top Applicants for Your Business
Q: What is the core shift in how to generate applicants today, compared to five years ago?
The core shift is moving from relying solely on posted ads to actively sourcing candidates and using a mix of outreach, referrals, and branding efforts to create ongoing applicant flow so you always have a choice.
