  • Living arrangements

Why is Jade obsessed with people’s living arrangements. That is not your concern. If someone in there 20s or 30s wants to live at home for cultural purposes or any other it’s not a big deal. Chill with that stance. Plus they can save money. Not everyone wants to be married.

  • Will Dave correct himself

Keeps falsely claiming Biden passed the 10 year inherited IRA rule. That was passed in 2019 under Trump.

  • I expected more

It would be nice if the calls were grouped together, less work for the listener. Dave gives the vibe of spoiled kid on the basketball court “I’ll take my ball and go home” when he cuts off callers he doesn’t agree with.

  • Short, Informative, and Mostly Solid Advice

I really appreciate how short and to-the-point the episodes are on Ramsey Everyday Millionaires—they’re easy to fit into a busy day. My only real complaint is the nearly 30-second ad right at the beginning of each episode, which I wish they would cut down or remove. The content is especially useful if you follow Dave Ramsey’s financial philosophy, though I don’t always agree with everything they say. Still, the show is informative overall, and while I wouldn’t recommend all of their advice blind... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How Much Should I Invest If I’m Self-Employed?
Q: What should Terry do first given the mortgage, pension, and new self-employed income?
Start by paying down the mortgage, then max out retirement options once the house is paid off, using catch-up contributions, and layer in a solo 401k to maximize retirement savings.
When Do We Stop Investing for Retirement?
Q: Is eight million dollars enough for retirement from age 59 1/2 to 85 or 90, given their income and lifestyle?
They encourage doing a rigorous scenario analysis, check assumptions about returns and longevity, and advise not assuming eight million covers everything; instead, build contingencies and consider how much you may rely on spending in later years, potential investments for children, and the desire to work part-time for purpose.
When Do We Stop Investing for Retirement?
Q: What should we do with the 15% investing they mention, given their savings rate and retirement accounts?
The hosts recommend continuing to max out Roth IRAs and 401(k)s, then evaluating additional outside investments such as index funds, while considering tax implications and potential early access strategies after thorough math on the 59 1/2 rule and life expectancy.
What Does Working With a Financial Advisor Actually Look Like?
Q: Yes, sir. So my wife and I are nervous about a retirement and working with a financial planner or advisor.
The hosts explain that a good advisor should educate you, respect your decisions, and work with you to understand how investments work, while the caller should interview and ensure the advisor aligns with the Ramsey approach and you maintain control.
How Do I Keep My Child From Being Spoiled By A Trump Account?
Q: Today's question comes from Kyle in Florida. He says, I'm going to be a new dad soon and want to do everything I can to set my son up for success. We plan on opening a Trump account for him and contribute $5,000 a year. How can we avoid a mindset of entitlement in our son if this account has hundreds of thousands of dollars in it when he turns 18?
The hosts suggest balancing long-term gifts with strong parenting—use a 529 plan for education and a separately controlled taxable brokerage account for non-educational needs, so you can guide withdrawals and teach responsible spending while still enabling future investments. They emphasize limits and boundaries, discuss potential changes to Trump accounts over time, and advocate for maintaining control until the child is mature enough to handle money.
