Reviews

4.6 out of 5 stars from 4.1k ratings
  • Living arrangements

Why is Jade obsessed with people’s living arrangements. That is not your concern. If someone in there 20s or 30s wants to live at home for cultural purposes or any other it’s not a big deal. Chill with that stance. Plus they can save money. Not everyone wants to be married.

  • Will Dave correct himself

Keeps falsely claiming Biden passed the 10 year inherited IRA rule. That was passed in 2019 under Trump.

  • I expected more

It would be nice if the calls were grouped together, less work for the listener. Dave gives the vibe of spoiled kid on the basketball court “I’ll take my ball and go home” when he cuts off callers he doesn’t agree with.

  • Short, Informative, and Mostly Solid Advice

I really appreciate how short and to-the-point the episodes are on Ramsey Everyday Millionaires—they’re easy to fit into a busy day. My only real complaint is the nearly 30-second ad right at the beginning of each episode, which I wish they would cut down or remove. The content is especially useful if you follow Dave Ramsey’s financial philosophy, though I don’t always agree with everything they say. Still, the show is informative overall, and while I wouldn’t recommend all of their advice blind... more

How to Open Your First IRA
Q: How would you recommend I go about moving from an employer 401(k) to an IRA?
Outline the rollover steps: determine if you want a rollover IRA; keep the 401(k) plan active if needed for matching; coordinate with the IRA custodian to ensure funds move as a direct rollover to avoid taxes; understand Roth vs traditional options and pick based on future tax expectations.
This Is Why You Shouldn't Quitclaim Your Home to Your Kids
Q: What kind of a tax mess am I in?
The host explains that if the property remains jointly owned, there will be capital gains tax on the portion of the sale attributed to the appreciated basis, and if the original basis is “nothing,” the gain could be substantial. The advice is to assess the tax liability with a qualified tax professional, consider having the estate handle any tax payments, and explore more favorable transfer structures before distributing proceeds.
This Tax Write-Off Could Wreck Your Finances
Q: Joe, thanks for calling in. What exactly are you considering doing to reduce your tax bill, and what are the risks involved?
The hosts explain that the proposed debt-and-write-off strategy sounds like a tax-driven gimmick rather than a solid business plan; they stress evaluating whether the underlying business makes economic sense, highlighting the risk of litigation, liability, and large debt if the venture fails.
What Would It Take for Me to Retire at 50?
Q: How much you got saved for retirement?
The caller reports roughly $490,000 in a Vanguard IRA plus other retirement accounts totaling around $550,000, and the host analyzes how far that money could go with continued contributions and time.
What Would It Take for Me to Retire at 50?
Q: Hey, I'm trying to determine, make sure I'm doing all the right things to be able to retire as early as 50, very comfortably. How old are you now?
The caller is 29, and the discussion focuses on whether aggressive saving and disciplined investing can enable retirement by age 50, with the host outlining a path toward a multidecade savings horizon and projected growth.
