If that dude reminds us one more time “I was a dean of students” I'm going to freak out. Holy smokes, can the producer please tell him to STOP!
Been listening for a bit and appreciate most of the feedback; however, Dave can often come off with a “know it all” attitude/response based on an assumption. Listened to his take on Trusts and him indicating probate takes 10 minutes. From experience, this is untrue. Probate is not a quick process and people can contest a will. A Trust protects all assets from probate and otherwise and ensures assets go to who they’re intended to. Additionally for business purposes, while living, the trustee is o... more
I enjoy listening to the show, especially the Rachel and Dave episodes. I like the balance that Rachel gives Dave.
The John Delony episodes are the hardest to listen to. There’s an overkill of psychology when sometimes people are just looking for financial answers.
Biblical principles work. As Dave has often stated, he didn’t make this up. He is a good teacher of those principles though.

Dave has become so demeaning to callers and cohosts alike. The $1,000 emergency fund has never been increased for inflation. You can’t even get a set of good tires for $1000 these days. Not to mention his staunch support of Trump is counter to his “principles.” Spending money like you’re in Congress is a laughable saying when he voted for someone who is amassing MILLIONS in wealth off the backs of Americans. Dave needs a reality check.
I listen every day, but PLEASE update baby step 1 to $2500 to account for inflation since the 1990s when the rule was introduced. Three decades later, $1000 no longer covers car repairs, small maintenance bills, or full deductibles. Love the baby steps in theory, but this is tough one to fully support knowing what true emergency expenses look like for baby step 1 folks. Thank you!
