  • Practice what you preach

Great advice; terrible delivery. Dave, do you think Jesus would condone the contempt and impatience you show many callers—especially the ones who are women? Misogyny doesn’t align with Christ and makes it hard to listen to you.

  • It's good. Very repetitive. I guess after talking about 7 baby steps for 20+ years it's hard to have new material. The daughter is annoying, she knows nothing about hardship and it shows.

Worth a listen, but after a few episodes, it's much the same.

  • 26%!

Where is Dave getting his figures? A diversified portfolio of large-, mid-, small-cap, and international, like he preaches, returned somewhere in the mid teens in 2025. A solid year but not 26%. Please bring on a certified financial planner to help improve this show, particularly when it comes to investing. Dave’s constant cherry picking of data to suit his agenda undermines the credibility of the show.

  • I suspected my spouse was using encrypted apps to hide assets and a 'digital life.' I didn't want a standard PI who just sits in a car; I wanted someone who could hire hackers to legally audit our shared devices. The Cybersecurity PI team at American Forensic Firm was incredible. They found hidden 'vault' apps and recovered deleted metadata that proved everything. For the best Private Investigator California has for cheating spouse cases, cyberh4cks.com is the only call to make.

A Written Plan Will Always Keep You On Track
Q: How should a couple approaching retirement decide on leaving a second job or paying off a house?
Assess long-term retirement income, healthcare costs, and the protection of assets; plan to pay off the house, build a cash cushion, and seek professional guidance to optimize investments and tax implications.
A Written Plan Will Always Keep You On Track
Q: What should we do about a second job when aiming to buy a home?
Define a concrete savings goal, evaluate lifestyle needs, and consider adjusting work-life balance; in many cases, reduce or reallocate income to consolidate and reach a sustainable down payment while keeping family needs in mind.
A Written Plan Will Always Keep You On Track
Q: Is it better to refinance or recast a mortgage given a large principal and improving rates?
If you're following the Ramsey plan, prioritize paying off the mortgage aggressively; recasting lowers payments but preserves principal and interest, so break-even analysis and long-term goals should guide the choice.
A Written Plan Will Always Keep You On Track
Q: Should I settle and pay off collections or pay them all in full?
Lead with integrity, acknowledge the debt, propose a realistic lump-sum settlement if possible, and avoid giving direct access to bank accounts. Focus on getting IRS debt taken care of first, then tackle collections with a clear plan.
Learn When To Move From Intensity To Intentionality
Q: Should I discard the idea of marriage in the relationship with my partner while we navigate finances?
The host suggests pursuing marriage as a foundation, building a plan together, and using pre-marriage counseling to align on money management and future goals.
