  • Great info but TOO many ads

There is a lot of great common sense valuable information on this podcast but most of the time is used for same annoying ads. I realize money needs to be generated but so little time is devoted to great subject matter.

  • Doctor Bob Martin

...most physically fit doctor I have ever seen.

...have been taking his recommended products for years and do not intend to stop: Xlear nasal spray, PressAssure, EsterC.

... admire his continuous study of the medical literature to broadcast to my non-medical understanding.

  • Good gosh, advertise much?

I clicked skip 30 seconds MORE TIMES in this podcast than I have on any others on a long time. I understand you have to make money, but do fewer ads per episode. I looked for info on CBD oil, but the podcast was filled with self-promotion, guest-promotion, Ads, and only THEN, a little helpful information. I won’t listen to another podcast here any time soon. Much to improve.

The Trillion-Dollar Weight: What the Great Metabolic Divergence Is Really Costing America — and You
Q: What is the single biggest variable behind the Japan anomaly in obesity trends?
The guest explains that the difference is cultural and environmental: Japan integrates movement into daily life, has food literacy from an early age, and their food system is less oriented toward ultra-processed, hyper-palatable foods, which reduces the energy balance pressure despite similar modern conveniences.
Trust, Truth, and the Next Outbreak: Why Transparency May Be Our Strongest Medicine
Q: What are the safety considerations for aspirin use during pregnancy, and how do morning-after pills differ from abortion medications?
Aspirin can be used in certain low doses under medical supervision in pregnancy, particularly for risk of preeclampsia, but high doses are risky. Emergency contraception (morning-after pills) prevents ovulation or fertilization, whereas abortion medications terminate an established pregnancy by affecting progesterone, so they are not interchangeable; the important takeaway is to avoid unnecessary medications and seek case-by-case medical guidance.
The Invisible Wall: Guarding Your Gut, Protecting Your Life
Q: What is dysbiosis and why does it matter for gut health?
Dysbiosis is an imbalance in the gut where harmful bacteria outnumber beneficial bacteria, leading to inflammation and digestive issues; addressing it helps restore a healthier gut environment.
