This is a fantastic podcast for health care providers (and researchers) and for the higher weight people who have to engage with them. Ragen walks listeners through current news and studies, revealing critical omissions, pharmaceutical influence, and weight stigma where they arise. A great resource for developing your own media literacy! Highly recommend.
Lying to herself and everyone else to justify her own failure to maintain a healthy weight. A true crab in a bucket.
I found the commentary to be extremely bused and not balanced at all. Not worth listening to in my opinion.

This show centers on weight science, weight stigma, and healthcare, often challenging weight-centric paradigms and exploring how evidence, ethics, and lived experience intersect with clinical practice and public health. Episodes frequently dissect industry marketing around obesity treatments, scrutinize research methods, and highlight nutrition and policy implications for higher-weight individuals. A notable strength is its persistent, critical stance on how weight loss narratives influence care, with a clear emphasis on patient dignity, evidence-based practice, and long-term health outcomes beyond simple weight metrics.
