I love and respect both Adam and Brené’s work separately. I didn’t know what to expect from their combo but their conversations are absolutely brilliant. The seemingly unscripted nature makes the discussions cover a wide breadth of topics. Totally digging it! Thank you for giving us a window into your conversations! Cheers to many more interesting episodes!
What a relief to an aspiring deep-thinker to hear you talk this way about humanity in the context of AI. Things you got me thinking: Is social media & Ai all about aggregating human complexity so that big tech can serve the aggregated need? And is there a social contract that needs to be re-written? In the past a heavy, well-structured email put the reader under obligation, reciprocity bias, does that need to go?
Thank you both for everything that’s got you here.
I’m a huge fan of Dr Brown; her TED talk about Vulnerability and her books are my go-to source of inspiration and resilience. Her work is truly a wonderful gift to humanity!
One little critique of this episode is about commencement speeches on AI… There was no mention of Fareed Zakaria’s speech at Bart College last month; the essence of his speech was in total alignment with Dr Brown’s thoughts on what such speech should talk about!

Love both of these individuals and have learned a lot from them. But together? Just felt like they could not stop fawning over each other.
I wanted to like this podcast. I enjoy the writing of both and was enjoying Adam’s standalone podcast. There is obviously some great content here as both are incredibly smart and have lots of interesting perspectives - I like that they challenge each other and disagree.
That said, there are also some things that have really turned me off and meant I no longer really listen (unless the specific subject is incredibly relevant to me). The first is stylistic/format and other reviewers have dealt wi... more
