  • Ignorance and hate

While I enjoy listening to the hosts conversations and dissection of important topics, her recent comments about how she stands against genocide in Gaza are confounding and disappointing. If she bothered to do an ounce of research she’d know the truth. And her virtue signaling to her leftist audience is meaningless. The host only speaks about this because it’s en vogue. She is silent on others and has no space for Jews and Israelis alike.

  • Such a great listen

I absolutely love this podcast. I love deep dives on the topics they choose, and the way they explore all that is unspoken. The host is so knowledgeable about a range of topics and brings on excellent guests to dive even deeper. I can’t say enough good things!

  • screen time

Non-parents who are also not pediatricians or child development researchers, especially characters in the smug podcaster cinematic universe, SIMPLY MUST stop calling screen time among children a “moral panic.” You just don’t know what you’re talking about.

  • Affluent white lady discovers things

While the show does an excellent job picking interesting topics, the analyses and explanations are often cursory, sometimes flawed, and often biased towards lazy liberal tropes (e.g. the patriarchy is the cause of something) without deeper reflection. Stylistically, the host’s tone often seems breezy and unserious even when discussing heavy topics. And I often chuckle at the enthusiastic way they explain something as if they are the first (white, affluent) people to discover it. The show has a g... more
