  • Screen Time Episode

I am a fan of the show, but I wish there was more pushback to the idea that “screens are neutral” in the latest episode. Screens are not really neutral in our techno-capitalist society. They’re designed to train future obedient consumers and workers in whatever form the economy will take. • I love this podcast.

I adore this podcast! I have always deeply enjoyed AHP’s writing, and she often features guests I follow as well. Just a note: What the lovely Margaret H.W. said about Travis Kelce’s tweets is inaccurate. They were not adorable in any way. They were actually extremely fatphobic and misogynistic. Overall, I love this podcast and AHP’s work!

  • I try to like this pod but keep getting disappointed

I enjoy the range of topics, but often seems like the conversations are more like rants and laughs between friends with low-hanging fruit level analysis. With the running ep, for example, I was expecting more of a critique of running culture and the way that racism, ableism, and fatphobia police the boundaries of who can call themselves a runner and feel welcome in such spaces. I know that Anne and the first guest are runners themselves, and seemed to put more effort into reassuring listeners th... more
