While the show does an excellent job picking interesting topics, the analyses and explanations are often cursory, sometimes flawed, and often biased towards lazy liberal tropes (e.g. the patriarchy is the cause of something) without deeper reflection. This podcast is good for having on in the background and/or if you want a lighthearted discussion to listen to. Although she seems well-intentioned and caring, the host is incredibly out of touch. She is an affluent white woman and it shows (she always talks about how she lives on an island in her other podcast).
