  • Kids and social media

One of the issues I have with kids being online is when you’re talking to someone let’s say in a comment section of a YouTube video you don’t know if you’re talking to a minor or not. I do not want to get into a conversation or an argument with a minor no matter what the subject matter is. I think there should be some kind of badge on the account name letting you know that the account belongs to a minor.

  • Hosts and guests with their “like”

I generally like the episodes but find both the hosts and their guests use the word “like” way too often in their sentences to the point that it distracts what they are articulating. I wish they could tone it down.

  • Shocking, so many ads

Interesting topic, personable host, but the episodes are hard to listen to because of how many ads there are in relation to how long the actual discussion is. I think this podcast concept would have a better shot on a network like Vox or NyMag.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The "Skinnyphobic" Myth
Q: What is your earliest internet memory?
Sesali describes growing up with AOL chat rooms and party lines, illustrating how early online spaces primed her for talking to strangers and navigating online communities, which set the stage for later discussions about online identity and body image.
Do Healthy Relationships To Chatbots Exist?
Q: What drew you to study AI intimacy with such curiosity and care?
Bridget explains that approaching the topic without judgment allows for a deeper understanding of why people form attachments to AI, and for examining broader social and technological dynamics rather than caricaturing those relationships.
Prediction Markets Are Coming for Everything We Love
Q: How do Kalshi and Polymarket differ from traditional gambling, and what regulatory framework applies?
The hosts discuss that prediction markets are regulated as futures-like instruments rather than gambling in many jurisdictions, with Kalshi under CFTC oversight and a structure that requires outcomes to be clearly verifiable.
Prediction Markets Are Coming for Everything We Love
Q: What is your earliest internet memory and how does that tie into this conversation?
Austin shares nostalgic memories about Pokemon and early online communities, illustrating how tech nostalgia contrasts with today's predatory-feeling, data-driven markets that monetize attention and entertainment.
Influencers Are Hitting Retirement
Q: Kyle, are you familiar with Zoella?
Yes, I am familiar with Zoella; she was a major early UK YouTuber whose career evolved from beauty and fashion to broader lifestyle content, and her hiatus became a focal point for discussions about why creators step back and how audiences react.
