  • Please vet who you support

As women, especially, we need to be careful who we give our support to and be especially wary when it comes to male influencers/podcasters/doctors/etc. Peter Attia is a sick individual, and so is anyone who continues supporting his podcast after knowing his involvement with Epstein

  • Data-driven

Not enough things in life are data-driven and too many things in life are driven by out of context public perception.

Peter published one of the most important books you could read (Outlive) and continues to bring the best of the best on his podcast. Keep it up Peter

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#393 ‒ AMA #85: A guide to medications and supplements: determining what to take, what to skip, and how to know if they're working for you
Q: And based on that classification, does it change the evidence threshold you like to see and how much risk you're willing to tolerate?
After defining the problem and the intervention's job, the required evidence and acceptable risk vary: disease treatment requires strong outcomes, symptom relief focuses on perceived benefit with safety caveats, risk reduction needs validated surrogates or hard outcomes, and optimization should be approached with skepticism due to smaller effects and higher uncertainty.
#387 - AMA #83: Peptides—evaluating the science, safety, and hype in a rapidly growing field
Q: For today, what is your goal with the peptides you want to talk about, and what key questions should we apply to evaluate them?
The goal is to provide a clear framework that applies to any peptide, focusing on mechanism, safety, evidence in humans, dosage, alternatives, and regulatory context, so listeners can judge each peptide on its own merits rather than rely on hype.
#385 - AMA #82: Applying the tools of longevity in the real world: disease prevention, DEXA scans, artificial sweeteners, injury recovery, stability training, habit formation, protein intake and mTOR activation, and more
Q: So with that said, I think we'll just jump right into it. First question being, as someone thinks about their trajectory as age, so if someone goes from their 20s to 40s to 60s and beyond, how do you work with patients around how their health priorities, strategies, tactics should shift across those decades as they age?
The general approach is to acknowledge that a lot can be done in your 20s, but you should start being deliberate about prevention as you move into your 40s and beyond. In your 40s, metabolic health and cardiovascular risk become more central, with emphasis on maintaining workout frequency, screening, and addressing dyslipidemia or hypertension early. In your 60s and older, the focus shifts to maintenance and, if possible, continued gains through adjusted training, with an emphasis on doing no harm and tailoring protocols to preserve function and independence while reducing risk. Across all ages, the idea is to balance pushing limits in youth with protecting health through prevention, screening, and sustainable exercise as you age.
#376 - AMA #78: Longevity interventions, exercise, diagnostic screening, and managing high apoB, hypertension, metabolic health, and more
Q: How do you motivate people in their 30s to 50s to prioritize exercise?
We help patients identify and rank the top 10 physical activities they want to do in their later years and then we project back to highlight the necessary fitness levels they need to achieve now.
