I’m 51. After two+ weeks of coughing due to COVID, labored breathing and chest pains - grabbing my chest. Winded and tired over normal stuff. Went to urgent care.
EKG did not come out perfect. Some small abnormality. Gave me aspirin and sent me to ER next door. Drove myself. They called over for pre check so ER was waiting for me. I am 38 years old and suffered a heart attack on January 8th. Thank you for sharing your story. I am ashamed of my heart attack. I feel that because I survived, people react with wondering what I did or am doing wrong to cause the heart attack at a young age. The happiness of surviving is shadowed by need to identify fault. I think stress caused my heart attack.
