  • Could be good

Honestly, there’s too many silent pauses and the Host don’t seem to connect. One woman forever cuts everyone off and doesn’t let others finish their sentence before speaking. I think what they talk about is great and real life scenarios to help individuals who feel alone, not feel alone. This is hard stuff and not everyone will get it. I really do think this could be great but needs work!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Louis Kim on Finding Purpose After Success: Why Money Won’t Fix Your Mental Health
Q: If your anxiety had a theme song, what is it and why?
Lou relates anxiety to escalating, contagious energy and suggests songs like We Didn't Start the Fire to reflect the mounting tension, using music to illustrate the emotional ramp of anxiety.
Nicole Explains the Toxic Shame Cycle (And How to Finally Break Free)
Q: Where do you think that mindset of wanting to have it figured out at such an early age comes from?
Nicole describes a mix of early validation for being smart, pressure from the US academic culture, ADHD-related impulsivity, and intense focus on achievement that made deviation feel risky. She highlights how supportive parents and a shift into therapy provided a path to reframe failure as part of a longer growth process.
Barb Nangle (Part 2): Building Healthy Boundaries After Childhood Trauma
Q: If your anxiety had a theme song, what is it and why?
Barb suggests a song that captures the sense of perpetual tension at the start of anxiety, but quickly pivots to the idea that this too shall pass, emphasizing that anxious feelings are temporary and often deceptive in their permanence.
Jack Bohannan Explains Attachment Theory and How Childhood Shapes Adult Relationships
Q: If you could go back to a younger version of yourself, what age and what would you tell yourself?
At around age 10, I would want to be seen and attuned by an adult who could validate my experiences and inner world, because that attunement is foundational to healthy development and attachment.
Scott Harris on Addiction Recovery, ADHD, and Why Buying a Home Is a Mental Health Journey
Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?
You're not alone, stop trying to be the hero, and open up to others about your challenges.
