  • Too funny!?

Love the podcast, lots of great information. I feel Chuck, w his female guests, tries to be too flirty and funny. For example, with this podcast, he spent a lot of time talking about how the guest brings a big bag with a ladle and spoon, etc., to a restaurant… just silly

Also with the doctor Kaliova?, he also acts extra super flirty and funny and wastes a lot of time

On the flipside with his male guests and male doctors, he stays on topic and although he is friendly and funny, he doesn’t get h... more

  • Nitrates

The episode on nitrates with Dr. Khambatta was excellent! I am a triathlete and my kids are runners and swimmers so I loved learning more about which veggies are rich in nitrates, how to eat them (raw), and how much to consume both before and after exercise to hep boost performance and increase time to exhaustion.

  • Great guests

Annoying host. He talks like he is trying to be a 20 year old dude… it’s hard to listen to even though the guests are excellent and have amazing information to share.

  • Not just gas

One of your reasons was for the environment, very very true. But isn’t just cows gas, tearing down the rainforest, destroying what keeps the earth safer is a huge reason to just eat plants, beans, and grains.

She Had Heart Disease, These Changes Made It Go Away | Lauren Bernick
Q: What first convinced you this lifestyle could reverse heart disease?
Reading Dr. Esselstyn's Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease book and starting the accompanying cookbook convinced her the diet could reverse disease markers, with a dramatic change after one day of adopting the regimen.
She Had Heart Disease, These Changes Made It Go Away | Lauren Bernick
Q: Walk us through that day when you first started noticing chest pains and the diagnosis.
Lauren describes the moment in yoga class, the ambiguity of chest pains, the shock of a CAD diagnosis at 46, and the pivot to investigating a plant-based plan after a doctor suggested statins.
Fibermaxxing: The Science of Healing Your Gut with Dr. Will Bulsiewicz
Q: If someone is nearing 50 grams of fiber per day, is that too much, and how should they adjust?
Constipation and tolerance vary; consider trimming back to 40–35 grams and keep other factors (medications, hydration) constant to see if symptoms improve, recognizing some people may need medications alongside diet.
Fibermaxxing: The Science of Healing Your Gut with Dr. Will Bulsiewicz
Q: Does juice count toward fiber maxing, or should it be avoided when increasing fiber?
Juice extracts fiber and concentrates sugar, so it's better to favor smoothies with whole plant foods rather than fruit juice, though small amounts can be acceptable depending on overall fiber intake.
Fibermaxxing: The Science of Healing Your Gut with Dr. Will Bulsiewicz
Q: Is there a good source of fiber you would recommend for a low-and-slow introduction?
Start with pre-digested foods like smoothies and soups, use blender-processed meals to ease gut burden, and gradually introduce plant-based sources while watching tolerance.
