  • Great guests

Annoying host. He talks like he is trying to be a 20 year old dude… it’s hard to listen to even though the guests are excellent and have amazing information to share.

Update again, such an annoying host! Great guests

  • (Love the podcast!) More female based research is needed

In the recent episode with Dr. Fuhrman he speaks of women in mid-life and older cutting calories down to 1300 or less, to lose weight, without mentioning the nuances of nutrition and the effects of perimenopause and menopause on the body as well as body composition and the effects of strength training and increased protein. It’s so tiring hearing male doctors talk so confidently about women’s health - women are not little men. Would be refreshing to have more experts on the show who are experts ... more

  • Stay in the Nutrition Lane, please

The recent episode on closure of the ONPRC was unresearched and oversimplified in your efforts to sensationalize the topic. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is “discovered” but still not fully understood in terms of the effects of early pregnancy and low to moderate exposure. Human studies of precise timing of alcohol exposure, exact doses and fetal brain analysis are unethical. Not only are NHPs still essential, they are deeply cared for by those in the field. You chose to highlight a tragic, deeply sad ... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

PlantYou Quickies: How to Eat Healthy When You Have No Time | Carleigh Bodrug
Q: How does the plant points system work and why is fiber emphasized over protein in these recipes?
Plant points count diverse plant ingredients to reach around 30 plant-based items per week, prioritizing fiber and gut health over counting protein; the goal is simplicity and accessibility for a broad audience.
PlantYou Quickies: How to Eat Healthy When You Have No Time | Carleigh Bodrug
Q: What is the concept behind PlantYou Quickies and how does it help busy people eat healthier?
PlantYou Quickies centers on fast, 30 minutes or less plant-based meals with simple ingredients, a focus on staple meals, and flexible substitutions to keep weeknights stress-free and nutritious.
Dr. Will Bulsiewicz & The Most Googled Gut Health Questions: GLP-1s, Healthy Soda, & More
Q: What should people consider about GLP-1 medications and the gut, especially regarding microbiome changes and possible side effects?
Early human data are limited; weight loss from GLP-1s tends to improve gut microbiome in general, but definitive human studies are lacking. The discussion stresses supporting gut health through diet and possible targeted supplements like RCE and DMN during GLP-1 use to address nausea, constipation, and microbiome needs.
Dr. Will Bulsiewicz & The Most Googled Gut Health Questions: GLP-1s, Healthy Soda, & More
Q: Nora asks which fermented foods have the strongest evidence and which are just trends?
The host emphasizes a hierarchy: plant-based ferments like miso, tempeh, kimchi, and sauerkraut top the list for their combination of microbes and fiber; kombucha is useful in moderation but should not be the main fermented food due to its sugar content.
Dr. Will Bulsiewicz & The Most Googled Gut Health Questions: GLP-1s, Healthy Soda, & More
Q: Janelle asks why cabbage is beneficial for the gut and what makes fermented versions like sauerkraut or kimchi more advantageous?
Fermented plant foods rank high because they bring cultures, fiber, and postbiotics; cruciferous cabbage provides glucosinolates that may have cancer-protective effects, and fermentation enhances the health benefits further.
