  • Too much incorrect information

Richard won’t challenge his guests when they spout obviously incorrect or unsubstantiated claims Do better Richard.

  • Mediocre

Takes on interview and makes a week long series, lazy and uncommitted. I’ve heard these guest before in other shows, they were better elsewhere.

  • Excellent guests presented in short segments

The moderator of this podcast, only identified as “Richard” lets his outstanding guests assume the star role as they explain their important research. I don’t know who “Richard” is, but the high caliber of his guests makes me think he is someone who is respected in the medical research community. Interviews are broken up into short segments which makes it easy to digest the information and fit the podcast into a busy schedule. I only wish he would release all of the segments for an interview at ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is This The Cause of All Chronic Diseases | Dr Douglas Kell
Q: How can someone interrupt this cycle of iron-driven microclot formation?
Strategies include nutraceuticals that ligate iron (like ergothioneine from mushrooms), maintaining a balanced iron status, monitoring oxidative stress and inflammation markers, and exploring iron chelation therapies in a medical context when appropriate; ongoing research aims to validate interventions and identify effective, safe approaches.
Is This The Cause of All Chronic Diseases | Dr Douglas Kell
Q: If I want to know what my iron status is, what should I measure besides ferritin?
Transferrin saturation and how much transferrin is occupied by iron are the most informative measures; ferritin alone is not a reliable indicator of iron status and reflects cell death more than iron availability.
How Coconut Oil Transformed My Husband's Alzheimer's Battle | Dr Mary Newport
Q: So if people are worried about cognition, what is one thing that you would leave them with?
Think about trying coconut oil, NEMC tea oil, give it a shot, give it a few months. Some people have a dramatic response, and others are slower, but become more obvious after a couple months.
How Coconut Oil Transformed My Husband's Alzheimer's Battle | Dr Mary Newport
Q: Could we just kind of go through that again? Has there been any changes to like how much coconut oil or MCT oil people should take?
I still kind of have the same basic recommendation on it... I suggest aiming for, you know, if you're trying to prevent it, maybe three tablespoons a day.
This Daily Habit Reversed Brain Aging by 10 Years in NIH Study | Dr Henry Mahncke
Q: Are you thinking about doing a follow-on study to see how long the benefits last?
Yes, the NIH has funded a follow-up study to assess the longevity of the cholinergic benefits.
