We often enter motherhood envisioning joy, nurturing, peace, and love. But the reality can blindside us. Nobody tells us about Mom Rage, overstimulation, intrusive thoughts, or other mental health struggles. Unfortunately, when we seek help, we might face a lack of support, a system that doesn’t put moms first, and a world that turns a blind eye to the challenges of motherhood. We’re here to chang... more

So grateful for the amazing resource that the Momwell podcast is. I help to moderate a large online parenting group and I constantly link people to various Momwell podcast episodes. Some of my most linked ones are “Understanding Sensory Self-Care”, “A New Approach to Developing Secure Attachment,” and “Managing Tantrums According to Science.” So glad to have these topics addressed in nuanced, practical ways for parents.
I highly recommend this podcast to any parent who wants to deepen their understanding of their child’s behaviour, and is keen to parent responsively. Erica’s podcasts are a perfect mix of child development insight, practical advice and reassurance. Thank you Erica!
Erika has this special way of knowing exactly what I need, exactly when I need it. Episode 242 with Liz Earnshaw came right as I was feeling so many of the stressors discussed in the episode. It helped me put into words so many of the things I was feeling but not able to communicate to my partner. Thank you, Erika. You have truly changed the way I view and approach motherhood. I am eternally grateful.
I love the topics I just wish more time was spent on the different aspects of the topic rather than the background of the expert and how they ended up on their journey. The episode about childhood trauma affecting us as parents is the one that got me & I have been doing inner work after discovering I had some trauma that I hadn’t even acknowledged which has totally changed how I parent. THANK YOU TH... more
