  • New Voices please

I’ve leaned on this podcast as long as its been around. The mix of topics is so great. But I am now begging the curators to try harder to balance the number of middle aged egomaniac white men with all the other voices in the world. Topic: Action and More Action (Jane C - 19 Years)
Q: What is the most challenging part of maintaining this practice during busy periods at work?
Staying present and avoiding ego-driven reactions; using sponsorship and talking things through helps re-ground you in the program and prevents slipping into self-will.
Topic: Action and More Action (Jane C - 19 Years)
Q: If you have the time, could you share a practical example of how you apply steps 10 and 11 in a typical workday?
The speaker describes starting the morning with prayer and a clear plan, then using inventory throughout the day, pausing to ask for the right action, and seeking input from others when disturbed, ending with an evening review to learn and adjust for tomorrow.
Workshop: Beginners - Chris C
Q: What's your take on acceptance?
Acceptance is a byproduct of working the program; it's not something you can grab, but it emerges as you actively participate in the steps, practice prayer and meditation, and carry the message to others.
Workshop: Willfulness Vs Willingness
Q: In six and seven, how do you practically move from obstruction to collaboration with God?
Start by identifying what is objectionable in your behavior, ask for help, and then actively practice the opposite behavior, letting the program guide daily actions.
Workshop: Willfulness Vs Willingness
Q: What's the best way to get back into a program after taking time off?
Focus on basic consistency: re-establish daily practices like a nightly review, reconnect with a sponsor, and start with small, doable steps to regain momentum.
