Having lived in Humboldt I met Laura when our daughters played b-ball on the same team- I knew right away that she was a rad mama and her smile and laugh were contagious :) I listened to this podcast and laughed at things that you would only find in the 707! As someone who had a baby in 1980, midwives were not a mainstream option. Tho I’d heard of them, no one I knew had home births, water or otherwise. This was so informative and interesting. If the subject of childbirth ever comes up, I’d definitely suggest this as an option. I listened to Shelby’s episode and not only was her journey to motherhood completely captivating, Laura exemplified the importance of having a experienced advocate through the process.

The stories, shared joys and challenges, and real talk made me feel less alone and part of something greater as an expecting mom.
