  • Super awesome dude

Met Darin recently in a hotel gym where he was doing a killer interval workout on the peloton. Super friendly and down to earth guy. I expressed to him my interest in health and wellness podcasts (ex: Huberman Lab), and he told me about his own podcast where he covers similar topics to become the best version of yourself. Couldn’t recommend this podcast enough.

  • Contradictory and losing credibility

How can you have so many interviews and conversations in which you and your guests proclaim how incredibly damaging highly processed foods are to our bodies and then celebrate Beyond Meat?

  • Negative Tone Brings One Down

Have contemplated many times unfollowing… I find Darin very informative and at times also inspiring… but all too often his episodes take quite a negative tone and almost tend towards fear mongering… and I feel this is due to his lack of sharing realistic and accessible positive options to combat or use as an alternative or a legitimate proven swap for all the negative aspects of our daily lives that he constantly focuses on. He has built his reputation on spotlighting negatives impacting all of ... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Chris Ballard: Why Freezing Water and Daily Discomfort is the Ultimate Antidote to Loneliness
Q: Do you think cold immersion will have lasting cultural staying power beyond the current trend?
Yes, it's deeply rooted in European habits and has a sustainability and community-driven appeal that could sustain interest, especially as people seek authentic experiences and practical mental health tools.
Chris Ballard: Why Freezing Water and Daily Discomfort is the Ultimate Antidote to Loneliness
Q: What sparked your interest in cold immersion and how did you get started?
It began from personal desperation after a career-ending injury, which led to a shift toward recovery techniques; curiosity about the broader community and science then drew him into the world of cold immersion.
Rowan Jacobsen: In Defense of Sunlight – Why People Who Get More Sun Live Longer
Q: So how did you first come to question the conventional wisdom about sun exposure?
I started with a year-long MIT Knight Science Journalism fellowship, digging into the science and then looking at long-running studies that showed sun exposure correlated with lower blood pressure and longer longevity, which contrasted with the dominant dermatology narrative.
Stephen Brooks: Permaculture, Community, Fruit Consciousness & Designing a Better Future
Q: What do you see as the biggest barrier to fully realizing regenerative permaculture at scale?
The main hurdles are translating complex ecological knowledge into accessible, mass-market formats and overcoming entrenched industrial food systems; but with education, community spaces, and practical examples like Punta Mona and EcoVersity, we can shift incentives toward long-term planetary health.
Danny Morel: Walking Away from a Billion Dollars to Find the Truth Self-Worth and Happiness
Q: What practical steps can listeners take if they don't have access to plant medicine or ceremonial settings?
Start with land connection, grounding, and chakra release; practice breathwork and meditation, then progressively explore self-facilitated practices that reconnect to inner honesty and love, emphasizing personal sovereignty over external solutions.
