  • Fantastic Insights Into Health

I absolutely love that Dr. Taz talks about the nuances around research and the scientific method - not everything fits into this tiny box. The human body is so much more complex than what a controlled study can show. This podcast is a breath of fresh air.

  • Frustrating messaging

The irony of your interview with Dr. Erika Schwartz is that while she emphasized, “Don’t let your doctor scare you,” she scared me more than any other MD ever has. I am 53 and take good care of myself, but according to her I’ve done everything wrong: birth control pills for 30 years, a hormonal IUD in perimenopause, and moving toward a MHT patch. She also scared us by saying not taking hormones - as a cream for estradiol *not* in a patch - will basically render us useless and without energy in m... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Stem Cell Therapy Explained: Benefits, Risks, Exosomes, Anti-Aging and What Patients Should Know | Dr. Joy Kong
Q: What should patients look for when choosing a stem cell therapy provider?
Patients should prioritize product quality and third-party testing, ask about sterility, source of cells (avoiding expanded cells that might change characteristics), and whether the provider follows rigorous regulatory standards to ensure purity and appropriate delivery.
Stem Cell Therapy Explained: Benefits, Risks, Exosomes, Anti-Aging and What Patients Should Know | Dr. Joy Kong
Q: How is stem cell therapy delivered, and what are the safest/most effective approaches?
Delivery via IV is a cornerstone for systemic effects, as cells travel to sites of injury guided by signals; topical or intranasal exosome therapies offer localized or brain-targeted options with potentially lower risk; safety hinges on cell source, handling, and avoiding unnecessary growth or contamination.
Stem Cell Therapy Explained: Benefits, Risks, Exosomes, Anti-Aging and What Patients Should Know | Dr. Joy Kong
Q: What is a stem cell, and how do they function in the body?
Stem cells are primitive cells capable of self-renewal and producing specialized cells; they orchestrate tissue repair through signaling, immune modulation, and building new vasculature, with mesenchymal stem cells playing a central role in anti-inflammatory and regenerative processes.
How Grief Affects the Body: Physical Symptoms, the 6 Stages of Grief, and Finding Meaning After Loss with David Kessler
Q: What is universal about grief across different forms of loss?
Grief is universal in its emotional arc, but the way it presents—felt in the chest, back, throat, or heart—varies by person; the core challenge is to acknowledge and witness pain rather than fix it.
Breast Cancer Surgeon Reveals the Truth About Mammograms, Metabolic Health, Toxic Overload and Cancer Treatment | Dr. Jenn Simmons
Q: If someone's listening and they just got a cancer diagnosis, what would you tell them?
Take a breath and give yourself time to learn; avoid rushed decisions and build a team to understand your disease, explore options beyond the standard path, and focus on a health plan that supports long-term well-being rather than quick, fear-driven choices.
