The author sounds so robotic. Sounds like she’s reading from a script which loses her credibility in my opinion. She’s an expert in this field so why read so rigidly from a script.
She covers the right topics but the delivery of it makes it so hard to absorb. I didn’t make it last two episodes because I just couldn’t warm to her.
This is an exciting and scary time for most women, but there is no warmth to this podcast. No excitement. No relatability.
Lots of scaremongering too.
Sorry to say it but I’m not a fan of the narrators voice so it’s hard to listen.
Only got through the first two episodes and the episodes, especially the second one, didn’t contain any of the information in the description. It’s more of a generalized “watch what you eat”, “don’t be afraid to consult your Dr and ask questions”, kind of advice. Where’s the details on what’s actually happening in the 4th week?? Reflux? Sex? Etc
Really like the content and the brevity. Good for conversation starters with your doctor.
Some of this info may be slightly outdated, but it wouldn’t be wrong or dangerous to follow it. However, there is a blatant error in the week 14 episode- they say a CT has less radiation than a regular x ray. Very wrong- it’s the opposite. But neither should be done when pregnant if avoidable of course.
When you’re trying to just learn and soak up info, it’s nice to listen to these brief episodes to add to your own research and learning.
