The hosts are so articulate and give the best book recs! I never miss an ep- feels like I’m in a cozy book club with my girlfriends. Highly recommend!
It’s ok and the hosts are nice. I have just listened to the Normal People episode and can’t get over the issues with the content. At a macro level the hosts don’t seem to understand that Ireland and the UK are different countries with a complex history. Calling Irish people ‘British’ is offensive. It’s odd that an American wouldn’t understand this. At a micro level there’s a lack of detail that makes the conclusions unsound.
As an avid reader/phd in lit/English teacher I started my summer with the local library’s rec of Funny Story. I love high lit but I also love awesome summer reads. Absolutely loved this book,my first Emily Henry. Googled podcasts that talked about it. You guys are the best, now following and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on some of my other favorites including Normal People. Also, what kind of sociopath doesn’t love Miles?!?!?
Great book suggestions and funny introspective discussion that makes you feel like you’re a part of the gang! Love these guys
This podcast is a great listen even when you might not be interested in the chosen titles. Funny and informative
