I’m absolutely loving the podcast. It’s wonderful to hear the opinions and critiques even when they differ to my own. I’m also really enjoying the historical context and focus on the authors.
I think a real benefit is having two people from different generations having a conversation as equals, it’s not something often in the entertainment space and I think it really adds dimension to the content.

I am soo disappointed - I have listened to two episodes & just find this a podcast that allows two people to be both wow aren't I brilliant & let's be unkind about those who aren't movie stars (Wayne Rooney - Ork) I wanted to listen to a book pod about the book rather than a young women giving her personal views on someone's looks!' How would that play out if this was a man suggesting a women was ugly - very poor - no further listens required I'll still to Rest is History.

I’ve listened to the first 3 episodes now. Overall, I’m finding it quite melancholy. I’m not sure if it’s the book choices or the analysis, but the conclusion of each book seems to be that life is desperately disappointing, everything is fatalistic, and everything ends badly. Maybe this is telling of one of the hosts’ world view? I’m a little reluctant to keep listening, because it does lower my mood a little. I will persevere with it and give it time.
