Reviews

4.7 out of 5 stars from 8.8k ratings
  • A rare episode in which the usually brilliant Rory forgets how to disagree agreeably. Michael Gove- who I've never particularly liked- maintains the rationalism and civility, while Rory forgets to loosen his collar.

  • Gove is the worst of the lot

His glib apologia for Israel’s war crimes just confirms what we already knew about him. His arrogance is astounding and he should be charged with corruption on Michelle Mone PPE.

  • Gove Interview

Oh my goodness. As usual Stewart and Campbell open to everything apart from an opinion that differs from their own.

So aggressive towards anything and anyone that dissents from their pre-conceived leftist, pro-woke, anti-Israel, anti-Trump, anti-Brexit, anti-capitalist agenda.

All rather ironic given their huge proceeds from advertising.

This should be called Following, not Leading.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

156. Defence Secretary, John Healey: Is Britain Ready For War?
Q: What's your take on the change in mood? Why is it different? What is different about the country that has made that change feel so huge?
There's a big sense of mood and appetite for change in 2024, but with less patience and more amplified grievance compared to 1997, making the challenge of government and leadership much harder.
156. Defence Secretary, John Healey: Is Britain Ready For War?
Q: So what is your memory of that House of Commons you saw in 97? And are you able to keep it clear enough in your mind to explain how the 2025 world is different from the 97 world?
In 1997, there was an extraordinary mood in the country with a real appetite for change. In comparison, 2024 feels different, being marked by impatience and amplified grievances driven largely by social media.
155. Mike Pompeo On Russia, Trump, and China
Q: Why is President Trump not being more robust with Russia?
For some of the same reason, President Biden chose not to do that. There is this worry about escalation.
155. Mike Pompeo On Russia, Trump, and China
Q: But do you think Donald Trump is pressing Putin enough with all the levers of his disposal?
I've already said we should all be doing more.
155. Mike Pompeo On Russia, Trump, and China
Q: But is part of the issue not that over the years, successive American presidents essentially have given that sense of commitment to Europe?
Sometimes it takes a shock. It takes a disruption, a dislocation to actually get someone to not just go, yeah, that's a good point, but to actually act.
