Pardon, your one-sidedness is showing.
I’d never heard of Charlie Kirk before his death, so I know little about what he stood for. However, the excerpts played on your show are enough to make me think there is very little he’s said that I would agree with.
But your commentary about free speech was so shallow. Some people should be allowed it; others shouldn’t. Some things are ok to say, some things aren’t.
Who should be the arbiter of who has a right to free speech? Who decides what can or c... more
I have just listened to the episode discussing Charlie Kirk’s assassination and thought it was pretty shameful. I had never heard of Kirk before this week and find a lot of what he says deplorable and it was fair for the podcast to highlight this. However you pretty much ignored the assumption that he has been killed because of his political beliefs by somebody on the radical left and instead spent the whole episode talking about violence from the other side. This is not good journalism.
Used to very much enjoy this podcast. The tone of the Charlie Kirk episode was extremely poor, with multiple smirks (almost giggles) throughout. The use of “obviously this is terrible” as a disclaimer at the start of sentences does cover it. Very disappointing.
These three are a perfect illustration of “journalists” refusing to even contemplate anything that doesn’t fit the narrative of their tribe, just shameful. However a perfect reflection of their BBC backgrounds. I’m trying to work out if Lewis has always spoken as he does now, or it is an affectation.
Most out of touch of the political podcasts. London centric - not listening. Elites looking down on the British public.
