Absolutely loved this podcast when it started. As European citizen and an American citizen, I appreciated Emily Mathis and her stellar well thought out observations. However, recently the show has become almost democratic propaganda and spends most of the time bashing Trump and Republicans. Will be unsubscribing if this continues. I’m a centrist and want to hear both sides of story and unbiased, balanced opinions.
Student Dorm Politics. Had to unsubscribe from the UK version because of biasedopinion replacing factual balance. Well, this takes it to a new level. It actually makes it funny. If you want to be fully informed, this is not for you. If you want puerile bleating about anything the presenters take against, you'll love it. I'll keep listening because it's really funny as Emily and John become ever more enraged with Trump! Biden is absolutely awful. Harris is a joke and Newsome is a complete clown.... more
Listened of “Old men and Corrupt Tyrants”. Nearly wanted to throw my phone at the wall again. While you play clips of Trumps insanity your comment basically treat Biden and Trump as equals with their own flaws. Biden flaw is being a little older than Trump yes. Trumps flaws are insanity, love of dictators, wanting to be a dictator, wanting to throw out the constitution, persecute political rivals, complete detachment with reality and facing serious prison time. more
It is sadly quite a commonplace experience these days to listen to a well-reviewed podcast, hoping to be informed about a complex of issues with nuance and depth, and with bemusement realising that this is biased, obnoxious and worse than uninformative because it comes at you with all the baubles and lustre of authoritative opinion. Yet it is opinion however much it dramatises itself as fact.
Same with their other show, there is a deeper agenda. I’m neither republican nor democrat.
