  • misleading name

The hosts seem a lot more interested in making a “rest is politics lite” podcast than a podcast about money and finance

  • Enjoyable, and informative content.

The show I find on the whole, very informative. They have some interesting guests and I would generally say it’s worth a listen, especially if you have an interest in economics.

Steph is the weak link. She doesn’t seem to bring much experience and knowledge to the show. I think she is on there to perhaps make it more relevant, and not so high brow, but i want to hear from experts and not hear her anecdotes.

  • Some good episodes, but stopped listening as the podcast went too lefty. Peston seems to think the solution to everything is higher taxes and more welfare and his constant Brexit and Trump bashing is tiresome.

  • Left behind

Sorry but this podcast is left behind by likes of “The Rest is Politics” and “Political Currency”. Unfortunately Steph ads little to show apart from her enthusiasm for her Monza accounts, and I feel her manner is very patronising, too anecdotal. Robert could do with a more robust co-presenter to bounce off, what about Gary Stevenson the inequality Economist ?
