  • Not great

Peston is very knowledgeable but his expertise is wasted on this podcast. Steph is not great here and might be better elsewhere.

  • Just doesn’t work

I like both of the presenters, I’m usually interested in the themes discussed, but it just doesn’t work as a podcast. They need to think about how this could be improved because this really doesn’t

  • The Rest is Moaney

2025 review starts with a 10 min monologue on how nothing is enough, followed by criticism that messaging is not positive enough! I understand the need to hold power to account but negativity around the way Britain is reviewed is all encompassing at the moment. Everyone is responsible for mindset, it is not just the government’s job to cheer us all up, clearly.

  • Good topics covered but the interrupting!!

I find it so difficult to listen when Robert constantly interrupts to get his point across / ask a question, please give your guests and co-host the space to speak at their own pace!

  • Podcast example of anyone with a mic can make a podcast

Robert has some good insights, despite his privileged private school metropolitan bias occasionally coming out with some pretty stupid stuff. I’m afraid the Robert / Steph partnership does not work at all.
