Really bummed out Amy had Aziz, an accused sexual abuser who supports slavery, on the show and that Apple Podcasts automatically played it while I had my headphones out. I know such men are common in her (and many) industries, but it’s still disappointing. Aziz’s early Woody Allen vibe is so creepy.
The more I listen to this show, the more I realize how much I have loved every single thing Amy has ever been a part of and how cool it is she maintains so many long lasting friendships. My favorite part is that the conversations are so genuine and you can tell that there is such deep love and respect in every relationship she has. This is SO rare in the entertainment industry that it brings me joy and hope in these difficult times.
If you are looking to laugh and hear something light and airy this is a great podcast. I have been a fan of Amy Poehler forever and die hard parks and rec fan. She interviews a lot of her friends including parks cast members.
I so enjoy this for so many reasons. It is funny but in the kindest happiest way. It is a break from the nightmare that is the daily news. It renews my hope that people are really kind and good. And finally, I love learning little pieces about each guest that makes me appreciate them more!!!! I have expanded my reading and watching lists so much!!!!
Heavens! Amy Poehler is wonderful, the guests are wonderful!
This podcast is exactly what I needed in these troubled times.
Many thanks to Amy Poehler doing this!
